This is my summary of what I've sewn on my KCW Spring 2013 (a seasonal sewing challenge, where everyday you commit to spend at least 1 hour sewing for childrens). I wasn't able to sew and share pics straightaway, due to other projects already started, but I'm sharing them now (it's a pic-full long post, so you know it by now :))
Questo è il mio riassunto di ciò che ho cucito per la KCW di primavera 2013 (una sfida di cucito legata alle stagioni, dove ogni giorno ci si impegna a cucire almeno per um'ora abbigliamento per i bambini). Non sono stata in grado di cucire e condividere le foto subito, a causa di altri progetti già avviati, ma li sto condividendo ora (è un post piuttosto lungo, pieno di foto, non dite che non siete avvisati LOL)

I've been able to squeeze in this sewing week 3 dresses and a pair of shorts, all nearly finished (one dress still needs buttons - arrived yesterday by mail- and buttonholes), let's start!
First dress: Spring Ruffle Dress - FREE PATTERN from Dragonfly Designs
With this simple tutorial kindly given for free from Heather from Dragonfly Designs (be sure to check her moustache version: gorgeous!), and using two pink-ish fabrics, I've sewn my very first elastic thread shirring: really rewarding and simple to do, I'll do it again for sure!!! We added two little treasure pockets heart-shaped!
Second dress: Paper Fan Dress - FREE PATTERN from Anna Maria Horner
One more FREE resource for sewing a dress you can wear front/back, putting buttons on front or back. For this one I cutted an old sheet that I had when I was young (the heart pattern was a HUGE hit for my 4YO LilPotato! And Vintage red buttons from my mother's are lovely too). Note: please do not look at the thread dangling... it seems we need a tailor here around :P
Third dress: Petal Maxi Dress - FREE PATTERN from Jessica (Me Sew Crazy/Sew Set)
I picked this one tx to a suggestion from Kaitlin (Wunderbar) when in my Summer Sewing 2013 post I asked to my readers what I had to sew next... You can notice that the fabric (sheets) is the same of my Spring Pantone Zest & Dusk! project: LilPotato desperately wanted a dress like mom, so I made it!!!
Can you see the buttons? No? I still have to sew them on! LOL
Last project: Skinny Pants (made shorts) from Peek-a-boo
This is a hit, a pattern to have: I used two differents tone of stretch denim and topstitched in purple... plus a golden vintage starred button: which girl can resist???
Look inside, there's an adjustable waist!!!
I hope you liked my KCW project, I commit for the Summer session to be faster taking (and processing) pics, so I'll be able to publish them on the wonderful flickr group... you should take a look, SO INSPIRING!

In questa settimana di cucito intensivo sono riuscita a farci stare la confezione di 3 vestiti e un paio di pantaloncini, il tutto quasi finito (un vestito è ancora senza bottoni, appena arrivati per posta, nè asole), ma partiamo subito:
Primo abito: Spring Ruffle Dress - CARTAMODELLO GRATUITO di Dragonfly Designs
Con questo semplice tutorial gentilmente fornito (gratuitamente) da Heather di Dragonfly Designs (non perdetevi la versione "moustache": stupenda!), e usando due tessuti nelle tonalità del rosa, ho usato per la prima volta il filo elastico per arricciare: davvero gratificante e semplice da fare, lo farò ancora di sicuro!La nostra personalizzazione: due taschine a forma di cuore!

Ancora un risorsa gratuita per cucire un abito che si può indossare nei due versi, con i bottoni davanti o dietro. Per questo ho tagliato un vecchio lenzuolo che avevo quando ero piccola (il disegno a cuoricini cuore è stato un successo enorme per LaPatata, che ha 4 anni e adora i cuori! E i bottoni rossi vintage che ho scovato da mammà sono troppo belli). Nota: ignorate il filo penzolante, sembra ci sia bisogno di una sarta da queste parti :P

Ho scelto questo grazie a un suggerimento di Kaitlin (Wunderbar) quando nel mio post sul cucito per l'estate 2013 ho chiesto ai miei lettori cosa avrei dovuto cucire come successivo progetto!Avete riconosciuto il tessuto? E' lo stesso del mio progetto Zest & Dusk!: LaPatata voleva disperatamente un vestito come mamma, quindi gliel'ho cucito :)
Li vedi i bottoni? No? Sarà perchè li devo ancora attaccare!!! LOL

Questo cartamodello è un Must Have: ho usato due differenti tonalità di denim stretch ed impunture viola ... più il bottone vintage dorato con la stella: quale ragazza può resistere???
Il particolare della vita regolabile è uno dei dettagli che preferisco!
Spero che ti sia piaciuto il mio contributo per la KCW, mi impegno per la sessione estiva ad essere più veloce nello scattare le foto e nella loro successiva sistemazione, così da essere in grado di pubblicarle sul meraviglioso gruppo flickr ... dagli un'occhiata, è così stimolante!
La grande notizia qui è che un nuovo sito, tutto relativo alle KCW, è in arrivo!
