La Premier League scarta il cap per il costo dei biglietti delle trasferte, critiche dalla Football Supporters Federation

L'assemblea generale dei club della Premier League, che si è tenuta ieri 4 febbraio, ha scartato con procedura di votazione segreta la proposta di inserire un tetto massimo ai prezzi dei biglietti dei tifosi ospitinei match della massima serie inglese, idea fortemente sostenuta dalla maggioranza dei supporters del Regno Unito e tra le principali rivendicazioni della Football Supporters Federation(FSF).
La Football Supporters Federation(FSF), principale organizzazione a sostegno della proposta, portata avanti dal network di tifosi con la campagna di sensibilizzazione ''Twenty’s Plenty for Away Tickets'', ha accolto con disappunto la decisione e, nel criticare la scelta, ribadisce che il tema rimarrà tra priorità dell'azione di sensibilizzazione dei tifosi aspettandosi un'apertura al dialogo in vista del prossimo incontro dei club a fine Marzo.
Nei giorni scorsi il collettivo si è fatto promotore di un mailstrom da parte dei tifosi verso i club ed i principali sponsor(qui dettagli) per sensibilizzare sul tema mettendo a disposizione un tool online con emal precompilate, ma le rivendicazioni si sono scontrate nuovamente contro il muro di gomma dei club che, nonostante i ricchi contratti TV dei prossimi anni, continuano a mantenere economicamente non accessibili i prezzi dei tickets.

Al di là dei costi per i biglietti delle trasferte il tema dei prezzi esagerati, sopratutto considerando i miliardi che arriveranno dalle TV, resta tra i principali campi di confronto tra gruppi organizzati e club, solo in questi ultimi giorni lo Spirit of Shankly(Liverpool) ha annunciato contestazione per il costo di 77 sterline dei biglietti della Main Stand ristrutturata(qui dettagli) per i match della stagione 2016/17(LINK) e l'Arsenal Supporters Trust ha annunciato il boicottaggio per l'aumento di 30 sterline per il match di Champions League con il Barcellona(LINK).

As reported in recent weeks on the FSF website, the Premier League shareholder clubs met yesterday (Thursday 4th February).
Below is a statement from the FSF in response to the widely reported outcome of that meeting:
“We are incredibly disappointed to learn that a proposed cap on away ticket prices was voted down by the Premier League clubs yesterday in a secret ballot. Supporters will not let them off the hook.
“Football supporters are right to be angry about the Premier League clubs’ apparent reluctance to tackle the problem of ticket prices. Top-flight clubs have known since last year that they will be receiving a huge increase in their TV revenues. In the light of that windfall, Premier League clubs cannot justify maintaining high ticket prices, particularly for away fans.
“Despite clubs failing to agree a way forward yesterday, this issue will not go away and fans will continue to fight for fair ticket prices.
"We understand that the Premier League will be working with clubs over the coming weeks to find a way forward. That must result in meaningful action on away prices at the next shareholders' meeting at the end of March. If clubs have the will to do this there must be a way."
