In India è una delle feste più attese dell’anno.

Holi o Fagu, è la festa dei colori, la festa indù più divertente che segna la fine dell’inverno e celebra l’inizio della primavera. Questa festa è conosciuta come la festa dell’ amore. Holi è celebrato in tutta l’Asia meridionale il 16 e 17 marzo 2014.

Conosciuta come la festa dei colori, della gioia, dell’amore e del divertimento, in tutto il Paese adulti e bambini aspettano questa ricorrenza che autorizza a schizzare e colorare gli altri per le strade

Il rito indu che si svolge in tantissimi templi dell’India settentrionale ha un sapore magico. Tra i devoti ci sono molte donne e ragazze, che aspettano per ore vestite di sari coloratissimi prima di accedere al tempio per partecipare alla cerimonia. Qui vengono lanciate polveri colorate fatte con fiori pestati e pigmenti dai colori accesi e spruzzate direttamente addosso ai fedeli. La festa dell’Holi coincide con il giorno successivo a quello della luna piena nel mese di Phalguna. Durante la sera della luna piena, vengono accesi falò per allontanare gli spiriti e celebrare la vittoria del bene sul male.
