Le grandi aiutrici - Jude Deveraux

Ecco qui che mi trovo a parlarvi di un autrice che ancora non conosco, JUDE DEVERAUX.Sono venuta a conoscenza di questa scrittrice tramite un commento sotto l'articolo di K.E. Woodiwiss di una ragazza che l'associava a lei per stile di scrittura e allora presa dalla curiosità sono andata ad informarmi. Purtroppo qui in Italia non è molto famosa,quindi per scoprire qualcosa mi sono buttata sui siti americani e devo dire che mi hanno messo molta curiosità al riguardo e sicuramente comprerò qualcosa.Nata il 20 settembre 1947 in Kentucky con il nome di Jude Gilliam, fino ad oggi è riuscita a piazzare 36 dei suoi 37 romanzi nella classifica Best seller list del New York Times. La Deveraux - descritta come una popolare autrice di Romance - appare come se stessa nel documentario del 1987 dedicato alle autrici Romance intitolato "Dove si aggira il cuore".Conosciuta per i suoi libri a sfondo storico con trame incentrate su caparbie e forti eroine, la Deveraux ha scritto storie ambientate nell'America post-rivoluzionaria, nel Colorado del 19esimo secolo e nel New Mexico dello stesso periodo. Ha scritto diversi Romance di genere Time-travel e in quest'ultimo periodo romanzi ambientati nella storia contemporanea e alcuni di questi trattano temi soprannaturali.
