Emmy Rossum è la mia ospite di oggi.
Cantante e attrice, nata a New York nel 1986, è una di quelle celebrità il cui destino sembra segnato fino dall’infanzia. A soli sette anni viene invitata a far parte della prestigiosa Metropolitan Opera Children’s Chorus. Per cinque anni canta nel coro, e ha la possibilità di incontrare dei grandi nomi, tra cui Luciano Pavarotti e Placido Domingo.
A dodici anni Emmy intraprende anche la carriera di attrice, ma nel frattempo completa i suoi studi grazie ai corsi online della Stanford University, dedicati ai ragazzi particolarmente dotati.
Nonostante sia ancora giovanissima, Emmy Rossum ha già partecipato a molti serial e film di successo. Nel 1999 ha debuttato in Law & Order. Da lì in poi la sua strada è stata orientata verso il successo. Tra i tanti film in cui ha recitato, ricordiamo: Mystic River, The Day After Tomorrow, Il fantasma dell’Opera, Poseidon, Beautiful Creatures.
In seguito alla sua partecipazione a Il fantasma dell’Opera, un musical, Emmy viene invitata a incidere un disco. La cosa si concretizza e pubblica Inside Out (2007), che riscuote un ottimo responso dal pubblico e dalla critica. Nel 2013 esce il suo secondo album, Sentimental Journey, attualmente in produzione.
Inoltre Emmy è la star del serial TV Shameless, trasmesso in Italia su Mediaset Premium.

Singer and actress, born in New York in 1986, she is one of those celebrities whose fate seems to be destined from childhood. At only seven years old she is invited to be part of the prestigious Metropolitan Opera Children’s Chorus. For five years Emmy sings in the choir, and she have the chance to meet the big names, including Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo.
At twelve Emmy also undertakes an acting career, but in the meantime she completed her studies through online courses at Stanford University, dedicated to children gifted.
