Maurizio Marcato nutrirà sempre nostalgia per quello straordinario momento storico, durante il quale è rimasto talmente affascinato da queste donne da dedicar loro uno screening, che nel 2011 vola in Minnesota sotto il nome di PIN ART, per essere esposto presso Icebox Gallery all’evento Art-A-Whirl; oggi quello screening diventa il Pin Up 2012 Calendar, che mette a disposizione di un pubblico più vasto le opere dell’artista mostrando, sullo sfondo del gioco del biliardo, queste deliziose, allegre e affascinanti Pin Up.
Il calendario Pin Up 2012 è un inno alla gioia ritrovata degli anni ‘60, alla prosperità, alla vita, alla positività e anche alle donne comuni, di tutti giorni, che troviamo per strada o al supermercato. Maurizio is proud to bring us back to the ’60s, the vintage time were the pin-up were protagonists. Buxom women with angelic face, who play with their charm a little childish and risqué.
Nostalgia for that extraordinary historical period has always been carried in Maurizio Marcato’s soul, in fact during that period he has been so enchanted by those women to create a screening, which flew to Minnesota in 2011 under the name of PIN ART, to be expose at Icebox Gallery to the Art-A-Whirl event; Nowadays that screening has become the Pin Up 2012 Calendar, showing to a vaster audience, with billiards as background, the artist’s work, with delicious, funny and charming Pin Up as main characters.
The Pin Up 2012 Calendar is a hymn to refound ‘60s joy, to prosperity, to life, to brightside and to common women, which we can find down the street or to the supermarket. Genuine women which make us laugh, cry, fall in love, women which are by our side, who more or who less, that can become wonderfoul protagonist of our ordinary life by accompaning us during all the 2012.
