Quest’anno il tema prescelto è stato ‘Fight the flame of ignorance’ e l’evento ha avuto luogo il 19 maggio davanti al Municipio di Vienna. E’ stato sostenuto principalmente il progetto ‘Bobbi bear’ di Jackie Branfield.
L’ Operazione Bobbi Bear ha i seguenti obiettivi: salvare e difendere i diritti dei bambini vittime di abusi sessuali, ridurre al minimo il rischio di infezione da HIV, aiutarli verso la completezza.
Innanzitutto i risultati 2012: Il team di Life Ball ha annunciato con orgoglio un temporaneo utile netto di euro 2.100,000. I fondi serviranno per progetti di aiuti nazionali e internazionali quali AMFAR la Fondazione per la ricerca sull’AIDS, la Clinton Health Access Initiative del Presidente Bill Clinton, UNAIDS e MTV Staying Alive Foundation.
Il programma della serata è stato ricchissimo e con molti ospiti famosi venuti a partecipare attivamente per sostenere questa importante causa: la lotta all’Aids. Ecco i principali protagonisti : Kevin Frost, Bill Clinton e la sua fondazione, Naomi Campbell, Antonio Banderas, Milla Jovovich, Franca Sozzani, Eva Riccobono, Sean Penn, Renzo Rosso, Scissor Sister, Amanda Lepore,Brigitte Nielsen ..solo per citarne alcuni!!! Il compito specifico del bodypainting team di Birgit Mortl è stato quello di dipingere circa 30 ballerini che si sono esibiti in varie coreografie durante lo show. Oltre ad altri body painting che si sono esibiti nel fashion show ed in altri momenti della serata.
Sono intervenuti molti artisti da tutto il mondo, tutti professionisti che hanno messo ha disposizione la loro arte per questo scopo benefico. Hanno aiutato nell’organizzazione del settore bodypainting: Sylvia Reisenthaler e Petra Kumbusch. L’Airbrushteam : Ernst Wieser, Chris Obsn, Susanne Enzi, Elisabeth Pressalauer, Melanie Rodel, Andrea Helmel,Katrin Höppl, Marcel Kuß, Ronny Helmel. Il Bodypainting Team era composto da: Johannes Stötter, Elena Tagliapietra, Dani Bekiersch, Gesine Marwedel, Julia Eder, Jenny Kogler, Claudia Lausegger, John Vargas, Julie Böhm, Karala B und Rene, Katharina Martini und Georg. Il Make up Team: Lucie Knapp, Esther Behrent, Kristin Barthold. L’ Hairteam: Judith Hopfgartner, Tamara Holzer, Poldi Holzer, Sara Prock. Lo stile con cui presentarsi al ballo non era cosa da prendere alla leggera, ed è stato creato un sito proprio per prepararsi allo Style Bible di quest’anno. Infatti le ultime 4 edizioni hanno avuto un tema biblico che richiamava i 4 elementi naturali. Nello specifico:

Il programma ha visto vari momenti clou: l’apertura, la sfilata sul tappeto rosso, la sfilata di moda organizzata da Vogue Italia, i molti cantanti, il ‘Life ball queen award’, l’esibizione dei 200 debuttanti, il corpo di ballo di danza classica e di danza moderna, l’orchestra posta su una maestosa scenografia al centro del palco. Ma raccontare tutto questo non ne vale la pena, a mio parere: occorre viverlo di persona! Invito tutti a venire almeno una volta a questo evento di livello mondiale sia per gli intenti che per la maestosità scenica; organizzato oltretutto in una città meravigliosa.
La serata è andata in onda sulle principali reti nazionali austriache in diretta, dal tardo pomeriggio fino a quasi mezzanotte. Al termine è iniziato un gigantesco party nel City Hall di Vienna: quello che fino ad un minuto prima era la scenografia dell’evento, si è trasformato in location del party più incredibile a cui sono mai stata. Esibizioni di altissimo livello nei vari saloni, invitati vestiti in maniera originale, stravagante od elegante. Musica di tutti i generi e sale preparate con cura massima ai dettagli. Personalmente ho potuto apprezzare il Live Acts di : Scissor Sisters, Deborah Cox e Quincy Brown da New York. Qui il programma di tutto il ”ballo”.

This year the theme chosen was ‘Fight the flames of ignorance’ and the event took place May 19 in front of City Hall. It ‘was mainly supported the project‘ Bobbi bear ‘ by Jackie Branfield.
Here you are the results: The Life Ball team proudly announced a temporary net profit of EUR 2.100,000. The funds will be used for national and international AIDS projects such as AMFAR The Foundation for AIDS Research, the Clinton Health Access Initiative of President Bill Clinton, UNAIDS and MTV Staying Alive Foundation.

The main task of the bodypainting team of Birgit Mörtl was to paint about 30 dancers who performed in various choreography throughout the show. On more some body painting are done for the the fashion show and particular situation of the show. Many artists came from all around the world, all professionals who have made their art available for this charity.

The style with which to do the dancing was not taken lightly, and was created a site just to prepare for the Style Bible this year. For the last 4 editions have had a biblical theme that drew the 4 natural elements. Specifically:

The program has seen many highlights: the opening, the parade on the red carpet, fashion show organized by Vogue Italy, many singers, the ‘Life Ball Queen Award’, the performance of the 200 entrants, the ballet ballet and modern dance, the orchestra put on a majestic backdrop to center stage. But tell this story not worth it, in my opinion: you must live it in person! I invite everyone to come at least oncein life to this world class event for both the intent and for the scenic grandeur, plus organized in a wonderful city.
The show was broadcast on major networks in Austria, live until almost midnight. After it, started a super party in Vienna’s City Hall: this amazing and anscient place became the most incredible location of a party to which I have ever been. Performances of the highest level in the various lounges, guests dressed in an original, whimsical or elegant way. Music of all genres and rooms prepared with utmost care to detail. Personally, I could appreciate the Live Acts of: Scissor Sisters, Deborah Cox and Quincy Brown from New York. Here the program of the whole” dance”.
