delle sue opere, rispettivamente: la prima sezione, chiamata “osservazione” raccoglierà alcune opere del ciclo Permanent power; la seconda, intitolata “riflessione” illustrerà alcune opere del ciclo A priori towane (2005-2011); infine, l’ultima sezione, definita “coscienza”, esporrà diverse opere del ciclo A thought on observing time after 3.11.

Masaaki Ohya è un artista giapponese specializzato nella tecnica dell’incisione e della scultura. Ha tenuto numerose mostre personali in Giappone e in Europa. Ha partecipato a mostre internazionali e ha ottenuto l’elogio di molti critici d’arte. Masaaki Ohya è nato e cresciuto a Zama City (1972), nella prefettura di Kanagawa in Giappone. Ha conseguito un Master, nel 1998, in Pittura presso Tama Art University di Tokyo, dopo aver studiato incisione con il professor Yukio Fukazawa, Mayumi Morino e Tatsumasa Watanabe. Dopo la laurea nel 1998, ha lavorato come assistente di ricerca presso il Dipartimento di Incisione alla Tama Art University di Tokyo fino all’anno 2000. Nel 2001 è stato membro del Comitato operativo del Tokyo International Mini-print Triennale. Nel 2009 ha vinto una residenza d’artista per un anno a Parigi nell’ambito del programma di studio all’estero per artisti contemporanei sovvenzionato dal governo giapponese, dove ha studiato tecniche di incisione presso l’Atelier Contrepoint. Ha partecipato a numerose mostre internazionali, tra le quali: la Biennale Internazionale di Stampa e Disegno di R.O.C. nel 1997, la Biennale Internazionale
Tokyo e il Vilnius Graphic Centre di Vilnius.

Monica Anziliero, laureata magistrale in Economia e Gestione delle Arti e delle Attività Culturali presso l‘Università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia (2013) e diplomata in Economia e Management dell’arte e dei beni culturali presso la Business School de Il Sole 24 Ore di Roma.
Alice Tegazi, laureata triennale in Lingue e Civiltà Orientali presso l‘Università La Sapienza di Roma (2013) e diplomata in Economia e Management dell’arte e dei beni culturali presso la Business School de Il Sole 24 Ore di Roma.

consciousness of the artist responds to a need shared: Masaaki finds himself in nature, his deepest inner self is manifested through the environment, etching with engraving techniques.
Ohya Masaaki is a Japanese artist who specializes in print making. He has held many solo exhibitions in Japan and Europe. He has taken part in international exhibitions and he was praised for his works by many art critics. Ohya Masaaki was born and raised in Zama City, Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan in 1972. He continues to live in Zama City. He attended a MA in Painting from Tama Art University (Tokyo) in 1998, having studied etching under Professor Yukio Fukazawa, Mayumi Morino and Tatsumasa Watanabe. After graduation in 1998, he worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Printmaking at Tama Art University, Tokyo until 2000. From 2000-2002 he worked as a Research Associate in the Department of Printmaking also at Tama Art University, Tokyo. In 2001 he was a member of the operating committee for the Tokyo International Mini-print Triennial. In 2009 he won a one year residency in Paris under the Japanese Government’s Overseas Study Program for Artists, where he studied etching techniques at The Atelier Contrepoint. He has participated in numerous international exhibitions, including: the International Biennial Print and Drawing ROC in 1997, the International Print Biennale of Varna in 2007, the International Biennial of Engraving of Sarcelles in 2011, and, finally, the exhibition “White light | White Heat” at the Theca Gallery of Lugano in 2014 where for the first time was presented the artist in Switzerland. In addition, he won several awards, including the most important: the 14th INTERNATIONAL BIENNIAL Varna (Bulgaria) in 1997, the
presented, Copperplate drawing n.28 (mezzotint, 15×11 cm, 2011) was acquired and is now on display at the Giovanni Fattori Civic Museum of Livorno. Ohya Masaaki is also present in the permanent collections of several museums, such as: Tama Art University Museum in Tokyo, Sakima Museum in Okinawa, Machida City Museum of Graphic Arts Tokyo and Vilnius Graphic Centre in Vilnius.
