Maddalena Triggiani's E.T.H.E.R.E.A.L. Image

My readers surely remember Maddalena Triggiani, a talented designer that I have the pleasure to count among my friends. Last time I posted an interview in which she revealed where her inspiration comes from and what are her projects for the future; now I will write about her last collection, presented in Milan on April 14th, called E.T.H.E.R.E.A.L. Image. Unfortunately, this time I wasn't able to be on the catwalk as Maddalena kindly asked me, but I'm glad I could help her choosing the tracklist for the show.
The main aim of this collection is to describe an evanescent, undefined woman in a very contemporary way. The inspiration comes from the world of rock music and art, especially Antonio Canova's works, whose fluid lines were the starting point above all for haute couture creations.

What's interesting from a technical point of view is the realisation, that starts straight from the sketches and without relying on previous tests. The core is represented by internal bustiers entirely handmade, with sticks and shapes that define the silhouette.
Inlays and leather applications return as a signature of Maddalena's style, that prefers contrasts between tradition and innovation. In my opinion, for what concerns emerging designers Maddalena's work is one of the best results in this sense: she has the rare ability to unite two different worlds exalting them both, without falling into mere triviality or empty exaggeration.

Ready-to-wear garments are sophisticated and characterised by tailor-finishes and precious materials.
The goal of the Haute Couture is to reflect the soul of the woman that wears it, without forgetting designer's key values.
The colour palette goes from the tenderness of skin rose to the passion of red and purple. Green is used especially in its petrol and sage hues, while the eveningwear obviously focuses on black. Classic ivory for the bride.
