Between all the looks that I have showed you this week for the Costume Institute Gala 2012 to celebrate the opening of Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Consversations' exhibition, there was one who cought my attention. DespiteBeyoncé's sheer gown or even Anja Rubik's thigh-baring split, Marc Jacobs has beat them all with his S/S 2012 Comme Des Garcons' lace dress. He said he din't do it to catch the attention "It's just a lace dress" Jacobs explained on the event's livestream as he arrived on the red carpet. "I just didn't wanna wear a tuxedo and be boring." On the exhibition he says:
"I think Miuccia Prada is such a celebration of the unconventional and so it felt like, appropriate, somehow. They are two women [Schiaparelli and Prada] who I have always loved the work of; I mean Schiaparelli is one of my all-time heroes and Miuccia Prada continues to be a hero of mine. I am looking forward to seeing the exhibition."And what do you think about his look?

Malgrado le trasparenze di Beyoncè o lo spacco vertiginoso di Anja Rubik, Marc Jacobs le ha battute tutte con il suo abito in pizzo firmato Comme des Garcons P/E 2012. Lui dice di non averlo fatto per attirare l'attenzione "è solo un abito in pizzo" ha dichiarato lo stilista durante il livestreaming dell'evento. "Volevo soltato non indossare uno smoking ed essere noioso". Sulla mostra dichiara:
"Penso che Miuccia Prada sia la celebrazione del non-convenzionale e quindi ho sentito che fosse appropriato, in qualche modo. Sono due donne [Schiaparelli e Prada] di cui ho sempre ammirato i loro lavori, cioè Schiaparelli e una dei miei eroi di tutti i tempi e Miuccia Prada continua ancora ad esserlo.
