Maybelline Lunghezza Illegale | Illegal Lengths

Maybelline ha messo in commercio l’ennesimo nuovo mascara, Lunghezza Illegale, una versione riformulata e possibilmente migliorata del vecchio Illegal Lengths, che forse qualcuna di voi ricorderà. Essendo una fanatica di mascara, che ha il suo preferito ma per qualche ragione deve comprarne altri solo per tornare a ribadire che il One by One è il migliore, l’ho acquistato per testarlo per voi. La prima cosa che ho notato - con piacere - è il packaging, tubolare argentato e leggermente incurvato, decisamente molto diverso dalle confezioni ‘cicciose’ e un po’ kitsch dei precedenti, tipo il Ciglia Finte o lo stesso One by One.
Il Lunghezza Illegale di Maybelline è un mascara con fibre, quindi non particolarmente consigliato ai portatori di lenti a contatto; promette di allungare le ciglia fino a 4mm e devo dire che in effetti conferisce alle ciglia una certa lunghezza, ma una scarsa definizione. L’applicatore è abbastanza lungo e lo scovolino sottile con setole non molto allungate, che sono letteralmente cosparse di fibre. Questo impedisce alle setole di ‘aggrapparsi’ bene alle ciglia e di conferire loro più definizione. In generale, ho notato una certa lunghezza e anche un discreto effetto volumizzante sulle ciglia, ma niente di impressionante. Anzi, la formula non troppo liquida e fibrosa come ho detto si raggruma leggermente alla base delle ciglia. A parte questo, come ho detto, un buon mascara allungante, ma non imperdibile. Lo potete trovare in tutte le profumerie e anche in qualche supermercato, ad un prezzo che oscilla intorno ai €9.

Maybelline has released the new Illegal Lengths mascara, which might be a re-formulated and improved formula of the old Illegal Lengths one, I guess. Being a sucker for mascaras, I’ve decided to give this a try and see how I liked it.
The first thing I noticed (and was pleasantly surprised of) was the packaging. It a curved silver tube, miles away from the bulky tubes of The Falsies or the One by One. So, first point earned! This is a fibre mascara, so it might be a little bit tricky to apply for contact lenses users; it claims to add up to 4mm length to your lashes, which I found to be quite true. It comes with a quite long wand, easy do use, with a skinny brush which, again, is very different from the ones you have with other Maybelline’s mascaras. Overall, I found it definitely gives my lashes length and also a little bit of volume, but anything dramatic or very impressive. It’s not extremely clumpy, but the texture is quite rich and not very liquid. it’s an OK mascara, which I feel I can recommend if you’re looking for really lengthening mascaras, but be aware that it’s not outstanding.
