Naked Foundation | Urban Decay

Sulla scia delle loro Naked palettes, Urban Decay ha lanciato sul mercato anche il fondotinta Naked - come molte di voi sapranno, sono sicura - definita come una base leggerissima e illuminante, oltre che priva di parabeni. Sono rimasta indecisa sull’acquisto perché il costo è di 34 euro, nè più né meno di altri brand come Chanel o Dior, ma comunque una bella cifretta. Alla fine, armata di un buono sconto del 15%, mi sono fatta ammaliare dalla boccetta tentatrice e ho fatto il mio acquisto! Devo dire che sono stata ben ripagata!   ❄❄❄  
On the same line of their Naked palettes, Urban Decay also launched their Naked Foundation - as you may all know already - defined as weightless, ultra definition liquid makeup, peptide infused, light diffusing and paraben free. I hadn’t had the chance to try it until last month, when I finally purchased it with a 15% discount code. It’s expensive and that’s what really has always put me off. In the end, it cost me less than € 30 . But I was soon rewarded.   a "before and after" shot
  Sin dalla prima applicazione, mi ha conquistata. Si è steso molto bene, lasciando la pelle liscia, leggera e le imperfezioni ben mimetizzate. Direi che ha una coprenza modulabile, da leggera a media, senza lasciare l’effetto mascherone. Ho provato ad applicarla sia con le dita che con un pennello, ma l’effetto migliore l’ho ottenuto stendendolo con le mani perché aiutano a scaldare il prodotto e rendere l’effetto finale ancora più naturale. Ha una consistenza acquosa, essendo infatti a base d’acqua - tecnologia ormai utilizzata da tutti i brand di makeup - ma più la si lavora più diventa cremosa e coprente. So che è difficile da spiegare, ma trovo che, un po’ come il Face&Body di MAC, abbia questa proprietà, e quindi stenderla con le mani sembra la soluzione migliore per avere un finish perfetto. A proposito di finish, lo definirei, come da confezione, semi-matte. Opaco ma non polveroso, perfetto per pelli miste, come la mia. I o, più per abitudine che per necessità, applico comunque una polvere fissante sulla zona T, ma devo dire che anche senza questo accorgimento, il fondotinta Naked manterrebbe la zona ben coperta e non lucida. La prima volta che l’ho indossato, l’ho tenuto su circa 8 ore e sono rimasta davvero ben impressionata dalla sua tenuta. Al momento di rimuoverlo, era praticamente ancora perfetto, le imperfezioni ancora nascoste, e la zona T ben opacizzata. Promosso a pieni voti direi! Altro punto importante che mi ha convinto all’acquisto e alla ‘promozione’ di questo prodotto, è la colorazione. Io ho utilizzato la 1.0, una base chiara e dal sottotono dorato, ed è un match perfetto per la mia pelle, NC 15 in MAC. Direi che è il fondotinta liquido che meglio si adatta alla mia carnagione tra tutti quelli che ho provato fin’ora. Insomma, lo consiglio? Certo, senza dubbio! Magari non a chi ha la pelle più secca però.   ❄❄❄ When I first apply it on my skin, I was amazed. It went on so smoothly and it felt and looked extremely natural and light. I’d say it’s a light to medium coverage foundation, although buildable, and it’s definitely not prone to be cakey on your face. I’ve tried to apply it both with my fingers and with a brush, but I prefer to use my hands because I can get an even more natural finish and I can rub it into my skin even better. I also feel like the more you work it into your skin, the more it covers. I don’t really know how to explain it, but, as the MAC Face&Body, when it first come out of the bottle, it has a more watery consistency, but the more you massage it into your skin, the more it changes its consistency and becomes thicker. This leads to another point: this is a water-based foundation, which is not that strange as more and more brands have come out with this kind of formula. This allows the foundation to be light and non-aggressive for your skin, also because it’s paraben free as well. It leaves a matte but still natural finish, although not so matte and opaque as, let’s say, Chanel MatLumiere foundation. But it’s definitely good for combination skins, as mine. I still feel the need to powder my t-zone, but it’s more because I’m used to do it rather than I really need to with this foundation. The lasting-power is amazing too. As I said, I always set it with powder, but with this I could totally skip this step as it lasts so long. The longest I wore it has been 8 hours and by the end of the day it still looked perfect. My blemishes were still covered, my nose and my t-zone were still matte and my skin didn’t feel heavy (you know, when you reach that point when you can’t wait to remove all your makeup). Another selling point for me was the colour-match. I bought shade 1.0 - obviously, the lightest - and it matches my complexion perfectly. I swear, out of all the foundations I’ve tried in my life, this one is the best match! It’s yellow-based and it compares well with MAC NC15. And they have a pretty wide range of shades to choose from, so I’m sure you can easily find yours. So, needless to say, since the first time I tried it, I fell in love. Do I recommend it? Of course, yes. However, not if you dry skin, I’d say.   xo Em.
