Olimpiadi, nella tana del Brasile / Olympics, in the heart of the Brazilians

London 2012, very close to my house, especially Brazilianly speaking

Avevo accennato su queste pagine – e anche sul Facebook del Daily Pinner – che vicinissimo a casa mia c’è il quartier generale del Brasile a queste Olimpiadi. Vi avevo anche promesso che vi avrei raccontato della volta che mi sono infiltrata sulla pista dove l’astista Fabiana Murer stava provando la rincorsa e mi hanno gentilmente accompagnato all’uscita, ma non voglio annoiarvi con le mie scorribande degne del peggior blogger non accreditato a Londra 2012. Quello che invece mi piacerebbe condividere con voi è l’atmosfera olimpica che si respira per le strade di Londra, e mi piacerebbe farlo – dopo l’esperienza con la fiaccola – con le poche fotografie che sono riuscita a scattare nel ritiro super blindato del Brasile.

I had mentioned on these pages – and also on Daily Pinner’s Facebook page – that my house is very close to the Brazilian Olympic headquarter. I had also promised you that I would have told the time I infiltrated the track where the pole vaulter Fabiana Murer was training and I have been kindly accompanied to the exit, but I’m not going to bore you with my raids worthy of the worst not accredited blogger at London 2012. Instead, what I’d like to share with you is the Olympic atmosphere that reigns in the streets of London, and I’d do it – after my experience with the Olympic torch – with a few pics I was able to shoot at the super armoured withdrawal of the Brazil .

Tutte le squadre hanno il loro corredo di stampe e colori da attaccare a mezzi, pannelli, strutture etc.  Al Brasile è capitato un posto meraviglioso, con campi da tennis, pallamano e calcio, piscine olimpiche e coperte, spazi per tatami e materassini e un meraviglioso impianto di atletica leggera – pensavate davvero che trasferendomi a Londra non avrei beccato una pista a due passi da casa? ;)
Queste che vedete nelle foto sono le stampe e i pannelli che colorano e proteggono la privacy e la concentrazione degli atleti brasiliani. Gli sportivi più rappresentativi e i momenti più belli della storia olimpica recente del Brasile sono davanti a noi… e anche dentro il palazzetto e la piscina!

All teams have their own set of prints and colours to stick to means of transport, panels, facilities etc. Brazil has run into a wonderful place, with tennis, handball and football courts, indoor Olympic swimming pools, a facility for judo and gymnastics and a very stunning track – have you really thought that I would have moved to London not catching a track very close to me? ;)
Those pictures represent the prints and panels that colour and protect the privacy and the concentration of Brazilian athletes. The most representative sports and the most memorable moments in Brazilian recent Olympic history are ahead of us… and even inside the building and the pool!

Se vi state chiedendo che cosa c’è dietro questi pannelli – altissimi, anche per chi è alto per davvero, non come me… beh, sono stata più scaltra dei pannelli stessi. Passeggiando ficcanasando di qua e di là qualche giorno prima ho scattato qualche foto ai luoghi top secret. Ed ecco quello che c’è: una piccola Ipanema con reti e campi segnati per i beachers carioca.

If you’re wondering what’s behind these panels – very high, even for those who are really high, not like me… Well, I was more cunning than the panels themselves. Walking nosing  around here and there a few days before, I took some pictures of top secret locations. And here is what is all about: a kind of little Ipanema with nets for Carioca’s beachers.

E ovviamente non manca la stampa. A parte aver provato molta invidia per tutta la gente che cammina per gli impianti sfoggiando pass e magliette con scritto a corpo 60 “London 2012″, le strutture pullulano di telecamere, microfoni, cavi e cavetti. Qualcuno ha detto che quello che ho visto non è niente rispetto alla spedizione della stampa italiana, ma gli italiani sono troppo lontani da qui per andare a ficcanasare anche da quelle parti – e comunque non mi farebbero avvicinare nemmeno alla transenna del primo anello più lontano dagli impianti, mi hanno detto.

And of course the press can’t miss the event. Apart from having feel a lot of envy for all the people walking with their badges and t-shirts with the words (body 60) “London 2012″, the facilities are plenty of cameras, microphones, cables and wires. Someone said that what I saw is nothing compared to the Italian press equipment, but the Italians are too far from here to go to nose around – and by the way I would not even approach the first hurdle of the ring farthest from the facilities, they told me.

Insomma, mi spiace solo di essere riuscita a trasmettervi solo il 2% della meravigliosa aria a cinque cerchi di Londra. Perché quello che la televisione mostra non è davvero niente della serena festa che si consuma ogni giorno in questi impianti.

Well, sorry If I’m able to bring only the 2% of the wonderful London Olympics atmosphere. Because what television shows is not really anything compared to the peaceful celebration that is happening every day around these facilities.
