Nuovo grande nome per il cast della 35esima edizione del Pistoia Blues Festival che si terrà quest’estate nella cittadina toscana tra il 10 ed il 17 luglio. Gli ultimi headliner confermati sono i Morcheeba della frontwoman Skye Edwards (@skyewards), tornata nel gruppo dopo l’esperienza solista, che si esibiranno domenica 13 luglio 2014 sul palco di Piazza Duomo.
New big name to the cast of the 35th edition of the Pistoia Blues Festival to be held this summer in the Tuscan town between the 10th and 17th of July. La band inglese è la principale rappresentante del trip-hop britannico che ha scalato le classifiche nel 2008 con il brano “The Sea”: per questa serata il prezzo del biglietto sarà estremamente accessibile (10€).
Dopo 18 anni di carriera e milioni di dischi venduti la band è tornata sulle scene con “Head Up High”, uscito lo scorso autunno su PIAS Recordings. Il seguito di “Blood like Lemonade” vede la collaborazione di Chali 2na (Jurassic 5), James Petralli (White Denim), Rizzle Kicks, Ana Tijoux e Nature Boy a sottolineare l’importanza della loro carriera e influenza su una gran varietà di artisti vecchi e nuovi.
I Morcheeba si esibiranno nella formazione storica degli esordi composta, oltre che da Skye Edwards alla voce, dai fratelli fondatori del gruppo and Paul & Ross Godfrey (chitarre e campionamenti).
