Pitti 84 e Pitti W 12, installazioni, atmosfera, ospiti

Ho visitato Pitti Uomo 84 e Pitti W 12, e questo è il primo articolo dedicato alle installazioni e ai temi di quest’anno.

Il tema, sviluppato da Adrea Brà, erano le moto, un tema caro alla moda, lo stile biker spesso ha corsi e ricorsi, dai giubbotti ai boot alle borse. Magari come installazione un po’ troppo “vuota”, le moto parevano piccole e sperdute in mezzo agli spazi centrali, e le stelle filanti sullo sfondo non avevano molto a che fare con questo tipo di estetica.

Molto più calzante le installazioni interne, con l’esposizione  di giubbotti vintage in una cornice di catarifrangenti, veramente d’effetto.

Quest’anno una delle novità era la presenza del Pitti W, gionto alla 12° edizione, all’interno della Fortezza da Basso. Per Pitti W le installazioni erano fatte di ombrelli color Barbie. Molto sessista. Gli ombrelli richiamano il ruolo della donna nel mondo della moto, cioè reggere l’ombrello al ragazzino di turno (un po’ come una schiava nedioevale, anacronistico e sgradevole spettacolo). Il colore rosa Barbie fa pensare a donne bambola, donne oggetto e altri simili rimandi.
In un mondo come quello della moda in cui molto spesso le donne raggiungono posizioni manageriali, e composto in massima parte di figure femminili, il richiamo è anora più triste, fuori luogo e inqualificabile.

Ospiti speciali della rassegna, Kolor, il marchio fondato da Junichi Abe,  e Damir Doma, designer croato, che ha sfilato con il Resort 2014 a Palazzo Corsini. Una collezione che lo stilista ha definito “grafica, leggera e colorata”.

Molto interessante anche l’altra label del gruppo, Silent by Damir Doma, con un approccio più sportswear. Ecco un apio di immagini da Pitti W.

Gli spazi vuoti delle installazioni esterne

Paese ospite la Turchia,  grazie da una collaborazione tra Pitti Immagine e Itkib, Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters’ Association. Questa edizione ha quindi ospitato nomi come  Hatice Gökçe,  che già nel 1998 ha ottenuto un premio come miglior stilista turca del menswear,  Aslı Filinta che ha fondato la sua label a New York cinque anni fa, Elif Cığızoğlu con la sua  la formazione a Parigi e l’esperienza a New York, di cui parleremo diffusamente nei prossimi giorni, Emre Erdemoğlu che  al concorso Mittelmoda, ha vinto  il premio messo in palio dalla Camera della Moda Zeynep Tosun, che ha studiato in Italia e ha collaborato, con Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti.

I visited Pitti Uomo 84 and Pitti W 12, and this is the first article dedicated to the installations and the themes of this year.

The theme, developed by Adrea Bra, were the biker lifestyle, a theme dear to fashion, biker style often has twists and turns, from jackets to bags to boots. Maybe as installation a bit too empty , the bikes seemed to be very small in the central area, and the streamers in the background did not have much to do with this atmosphere. Much more interesting the interior installations, with a display of vintage jackets in a frame of reflectors, really stunning.

This year one of the news was the presence of Pitti W, at the 12th edition, inside the Fortezza da Basso. For Pitti W installations were made of Barbie-pink colored umbrellas. Very chauvinistic. The umbrellas recall the role of women in the world of motorbyke competitions, that is, holding the umbrella to the boy on the bike (what an anachronistic and unpleasant sight). This Barbie Pink color reminded me of an idea of women considered like dolls.
In a world like the one of fashion in which very often women reach managerial positions, and that is composed mostly composed of female figures, the recall is even more inappropriate and inexcusable.

Special guests of this Pitti Edition, Kolor, the brand founded by Junichi Abe, and Damir Doma, Croatian designer, who marched with the Resort 2014 in Palazzo Corsini. A collection that the designer has defined “graphics, light and colorful.”
The host country was Turkey, thanks to a collaboration between Pitti Immagine and ITKIB, Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters’ Association.
