The Concept
In this third edition of Patrizia Barlettani NEXT GENERATION_2011 PAINTING PRIZE will be introduced substantial differences compared to the previous years.
The prize-winner will win 3000 € and the opportunity of  participating with a personal exhibition to the event “Settimana dell’Arte” that is organized by Casa d’Arte San Lorenzo.During this kermess, the artist will have the chance of meeting collectors, critics and art curators.As in the previous editions, the selections will be made with an interview directly with the committee that will choice the artists. Every artist who would like to propose his/ her work will have 10 minutes in order to introduce himself / herself and to introduce his/ her work
There will be three prizes, like in the past editions:·  The first Prize: Patrizia Barlettani Prize ( 3000 €, a plate and involvement in the event “Settimana dell’Arte”)·  The Prize assigned by the popular jury  (a plate)·  The Prize assigned by the critics ( a plate)
The committee of selection will identify thirty finalists; whom works will be found in the Net and with a public vote, the popular jury will assign its Prize.For what concerns the Prize of the critics, it will be assigned by critics, art curators and art experts. The winner of Patrizia Barlettani Prize, instead, will be declared by a jury composed by five figuresbelonging to the world of art: a critic, a collector,  an expert in communication, a gallery manager and an artist.Every winner will receive a plate (the winner and the ones indicated either by the critics and by the popular jury).
The thirty finalists besides that “displaying in the Net” will have the chance of participating with their own work of art, to the exhibition-event “one night show” that it will take place in a prestigious public space in the area of Milan. During the event the winners will be proclaimed and the catalogue of the art exhibition with the works of the thirty finalists, will be presented.
Every selected artist will receive 10 copies of the catalogue of the art show.
During the event the collaborators of  “Galleria San Lorenzo” could market the works of art in contest, following the market directions indicated by the same artist, subject to a previous economical agreement between the parts regulated by the usual practice that exists between the artist and the gallery manager.

The Regulation
Preliminary remarks: the art contest of painting for the attribution of  Patrizia Barlettani Next Generation 2011 painting prize III edition is publicized by the society Art Club –Casa d’Arte San Lorenzo srl of San Miniato (PI) and by Galleria San Lorenzo e San Lorenzo Projet di Milano,The registration and the partecipation Prize Patrizia Barlettani Next Generation  2011 painting Prize III edition is completely free.
Regulation/Contract of announcement:The partecipation to Premio Patrizia Barlettani Next Generation 2011III edizion, entails the awareness and the total acceptance of the following regulation, including conditions, qualifications and preliminary remarks.
Art.1 –Conditions and qualifications in order to partecipate1.1-   The theme of the Prize is free.1.2-   The participant guarantees that he/she is the only author and the only owner of the work of art. He/ She ensures that the probable publication of his/her work will not infringe the right of a third part. The author exclusively and personally will face up to possible revenge of a third part.    1.3-   The partecipation to the Prize is individual and opened to artists of any nationality born after the 1 st January 1981.1.4-   Works of art belonging to the following category are allowed to the contest:PAINTING (oil painting, pastel, tempera painting, watercolour, acrili painting and mixed tecnique)  For the dimensions look at  art. 1.5 1.5-   Every work of art should not have dimensions superior to  150x150 cm. A margin of 10% is admitted.1.6-  The artists intested should propose themselves the 22-23-24 September 2011 in the premises of Galleria San Lorenzo – Milano via Sirtori 31 with the work in contest ed a picture of the same work in jpg format in high resolution.1.7-     To partecipate to the Prize, every single candidate ha sto send the application form  (downloadable from this web site sitowww.premiopatriziabarlettani.it)properly filled in, specifying in which of the dates he/she wants to propose him/herself, within and no later than  24’00 o’clock of the 18 September 2011.
Art.2- The juryThe components of the jury, chaired by an art critic, will be made known within the 10 August 2011.
The components of the jury will decree the winner of the Prize.
Every artist will enter the contest with only one work.
Photographs, cd and dvd will not be given back.
According its unquestionable judgement, the jury will assign Patrizia Barlettani Next Generation Prize 2011 III Edition.
In any case thirty finalists will be chosen.The list of the finalist artists will be inserted in the websitewww.premiopatriziabarlettani.it  edited by and at the expense of the direction of the Prize
Art.3- Prizes and AcknowledgementsFor every finalist who has distinguished him/herself in quality and originality, will hve the chance of displaying his/her work of art in contest during the event “NEXT_GENERATION – One Night Show” the15 th of October 2011 into the premises of Fabbrica Borroni, via Matteotti 12 - Bollatte (MI), besides to the fact that he/she will have his/her work published with a brief review in this website.In that day the winner will be declared ed the catalogue of the works  of the thirty finalists of Patrizia Barlettani Next Generation will be presented.   The same day the winner of the Prize and the winners of the other awards will be announced.

The visitors of the above mentioned website will declare, by voting, the winner of the Prize of the popular jury.
The three winners of the Prizes of Patrizia Barlettani Next Generation Prize 2011 III Edition will be given a plate of acknowledgement for the participation to the Prize.The prize-winner of Patrizia Barlettani Next Generation Prize 2011 III Editionwill win a sum of money of 3000 €, besides he/she will have the opportunity of  participating with a personal exhibition to the event “Settimana dell’Arte” in the spring of 2012 gaining the  chance of meeting an audience of careful collectors.
Art.5- Procedure of partecipation and termination of the contract of announcementThe participant to the contest should send to the e-mail address all’indirizzo mail of the Prize within the 18 th of September 2011, the following material:
·  Curriculum vitae / Personal Biography.·  Application form filled with data and signature.·  Picture of the work of art in jpg format in high resolution.
Art. 6 – the 30 finalists  will be selected by the jury of the Prize that will examine the artists and their works during the interviews fixed for the  22-23-24 September.During the interview every candidate will have to introduce him/herself and to describe his/her work and its creative intention.
Art.7– the 30 finalists   will be selected within the 26 September and they will be informed by e-mail.At their expense, the finalists will be invited to the night of the proclamation of the winner and the presentation of the prizes the 15 of October 2011 in the premises of Frabbrica Borroni – Bollate.  
Art. 8- ResponsibilitiesThe Art Club, that owns Patrizia Barlettani Next Generation Prize 2011 III Edition although ensure the best care and guardianship of the received works of art, denies liabilities for possible thefts, fires and of other any damages to the works of art that could happen during the event.
Art. 9- Assent and sale of the works of artEvery participant gives the organizers the rights of re production of the works and of the texts gave at the moment of the adhesion to the contestand to the possible pubblication of the works of art on the website of the Prize and to other forms of communication and activities of the organizer.Every participant expressly gives permission to the organizers and their delegates, to treat his/her personal data ex L. 675/96 (Law on Privacy) and its subsequent modifications D.Lgs. 196/2003 even to the aim of the insertion data banks managed by aforementioned people.  Every participant gives permission to the organization to treat and sell the works of art in ex position according to the amount of money indicated by the same participants keeping the usual conditions that exist between the artists and the gallery.
Art. 10- Collection of the works of artThe finalist works of art should be collected by every artist or by his/her delegate equipped wth a proxy in a formerly indicated date ( with a notice of 10 days) at the Secretariat  Patrizia Barlettani Next Generation Prize 2011 III Edition.The works of art that will not be collected by the artists will be shipped and the expenses will be payed by the same artists.The works of art that will not be collected by the artists within sixty days from the date of the announcement of the winners,, will be considered given to the Art Gallery, and for this reason they could not be demanded by their creators.

According to the rule of the art. 5 encloses a picture in jpg format in high resolution with the indication of the technical data (title, subject and technique, measures, date of execution, name and surname of the author, signature)  Only one work of art will be admitted to the contest and that the pictures or CDs/DVDs will not be given back to their authors.
AcceptanceThe participant, besides, accepts the results of the works of the jury of Patrizia Barlettani Next Generation Prize 2011 III Edition and, in particolar the choice of the winners, acknowledging to the Jury the power of  awarding or noto f the Prize for the three categories in contest, to its unquestionable judgement.  The undersigned accepts every rule of the contract of announcement of  Patrizia Barlettani Next Generation Prize 2011 III Edition for which he/she competes and signs the expenses, the risks, the whole responsibilities for the possible dispatch by mail of the works of art that will be at the expense of the undersigned artist and for its collection.  He/she subscribes besides, that he/she assumes to its proper burden, the possible risks of thefts, subtraction, damages, fire, and he/she frees the society Art Club from any responsibilities abovementioned or not.
