Buongiorno! Chi mi segue su Instagram avrà forse visto una piccola anteprima della meraviglia che sono andata a vedere lunedì a Milano.Monique Lhuillier, stilista molto amata dalle celebrities, che fanno a gara per indossare le sue creazioni sul red carpet e alle prime mondiali (Sandra Bullock e Kate Bosworth sono due delle tante), ha "attraversato" l'oceano e per la prima volta ha presentato una collezione in Italia.Quando ho ricevuto l'invito a visionare la nuova collezione di calzature P/E del brand, il cuore ha preso a martellarmi nel petto e gli occhi hanno cominciato a brillarmi (Monique Lhuillier + scarpe= apoteosi), reazione che mi ha seguita a Milano e mi ha tenuto compagnia per tutto il tempo che ho passato nello showroom di Via Monte Napoleone.

Monique Lhuillier, which is one of the celebrities' favourite fashion designers, who choose her designs for important galas or to walk along the red carpet (actresses Sandra Bullock and Kate Bosworth are two of them), crossed the ocean and presented a collection in Italy for the first time.
When I've received an official invite to discover the new S/S shoes collection, I couldn't believe that. During all the time I spent in the Monique Lhuillier's showroom in Via Monte Napoleone, my eyes twinkled.

These ruby shoes, realized in satin and pvc won the first episod of Tacco 12!, new tv program hosted by Cristina Chiabotto (on air on Mondays on La5, an italian TV network).
La collezione P/E 2014 di Monique Lhuillier è all'insegna dell'eleganza pura, chic e genuina. Il colore nero, dall'allure sofisticata e intramontabile, si sposa con il bianco, per una combo tradizionale e senza tempo, o con tonalità pastello, quali fucsia, corallo o celeste, da indossare la sera con abiti lunghi o da cocktail.La linea presenta solo scarpe col tacco (décolleté, sandali o stivaletti) e una grande varietà di materiali e tessuti: vernice, satin, velluto, pelle, pizzo e rete.
Accanto a questi, anche dettagli grintosi, come borchie, strass e microappplicazioni, o audaci, come l'animalier e gli inserti in pitone.Il tacco è a stiletto, la punta sfilata, il plateau è minimale (max 1cm) o addirittura inesistente.

S/S 2014 collection by Monique Lhuillier is characterized by a pure, chic and genuine elegance. The black shade, which has a sophisticated allure, is combined with a white one, for a traditional and timeless combo, or with pastel colours, such as hot pink, coral and light blue, to wear with maxi or cocktail dresses.
The collection includes only high heels (décolléte, sandals or booties) and different kinds of textiles and fabrics: patent leather, satin, velvet, leather, lace and transparent inserts.
In addiction we can find strong and precious details, such as studs or glitters, or aggressive ones, like animalier or python inserts.
The heels are stilettos, the shoe is pointed, the plateau is very minimal (1cm max) or even completely absent.

"L'eleganza quotidiana" - sottolinea Monique Lhuillier - "indossata in tutti i momenti di ogni donna, anche a lavoro." è il leitmotiv di questa nuova collezione, che si divide in blocchi tematici (pensati per diverse donne e situazioni), ma con un unico denominatore: l'eleganza, appunto.Ho apprezzato l'eterogeneità della linea: nelle sue calzature classiche, pulite e femminili, heritage della tradizione, la collezione P/E 2014 di Monique Lhuillier si rivela estremamente indossabile anche per le donne in carriera e sempre in movimento.L'estrema ricercatezza e la femminilità pura, onnipresente ma mai urlata, mi hanno letteralmente conquistata. Poter ammirare tanta bellezza da vicino, toccarla, respirarla è stata un'esperienza quasi trascendentale. Chissà perché ma le scarpe sono avvolte da questa aura mistica e sortiscono una speciale reazione nelle donne!
"The everyday elegance" - says Monique Lhuillier - "worn in any moment by every woman, even at work." is the leitmotif of this new collection, which is divided into thematic blocks (designed for different women and situations), but with a common denominator: the elegance, indeed.
I've really appreciated the heterogeneity of the line: in its classic, pure and feminine footwear, heritage of tradition, the S/S 2014 collection by Monique Lhuillier is extremely wearable for women in career and who always move from an appointment to another.
The extreme refinement and pure femininity, which is omnipresent but never excessive, literally conquered me. The opportunity to see so much beauty so closely, the chance to touch and smell, was almost a transcendental experience. I'm wondering why shoes are wrapped in this mystical aura and make a special reaction in women!
