Pro12: Ufficiale, Warriors-Leinster non si gioca

Il match valido per il nono turno di Guinness Pro12 tra Glasgow Warriors e Leinster è stato rinviato a data da destinarsi.

Le condizioni meteo proibitive, soprattutto a causa del forte vento che sta battendo la Scozia da qualche giorno, hanno portato alla decisione di non giocare il match, che era in programma allo Scotstoun Stadium di Glasgow alle 3pm - ed era sold out.

Non si conoscono ancora né data né ora del recupero, ma dopo i rinvii delle gare europee sarà davvero difficile trovare spazio per questo match nel già fitto calendario rugbistico dei prossimi mesi.

Non è la prima volta che un match viene rinviato allo Scotstoun Stadium per terreno impraticabile; nel dicembre 2013, il match tra Warriors e Benetton Treviso non è stato giocato, mentre la gara dell'allora Heineken Cup contro il RC Toulon del gennaio 2014 si giocò solo perchè il terreno di gioco, allora, fu coperto con teloni protettivi.

Ecco il comunicato stampa ufficiale dei Glasgow Warriors:

" Today's GUINNESS PRO12 game between Glasgow Warriors and Leinster has been postponed.

The pitch at Scotstoun Stadium is unplayable due to surface water and there is a concern for both players and supporters safety given the adverse weather conditions. Supporters should retain their tickets which were issued for today's match as they will be valid for the rearranged fixture.

Further information including the date and time of the rescheduled fixture will be communicated when it has been confirmed. "
