Finalmente riemergo, direttamente dalla capitale olandese, per mostrarvi qualche immagine di questa città speciale.Avrei voluto pubblicare già ieri ma il wifi in camera ha subito qualche problema :/.
Mi sto godendo appieno questo viaggio e il mio taccuino sta raccogliendo tutto il meglio che vi verrà poi qui raccontato e documentato.
Ma inizio a mostrarvi qualche foto del primo giorno e dirvi un po' qual è stata la mia impressione fin dal primo istante trascorso ad Amsterdam!

Good morning to all! :)
Finally I emerge directly from the Dutch capital, to show you some pictures of this special city.
I wanted to post yesterday but the wifi in the room has been a problem :/.
Anyway I'm fully enjoying this trip and my travelogue is collecting all the best. Then I will tell and document that all for you.
But I start to show some pictures of the first day and tell you something about what was my impression from the first moment spent in Amsterdam!

Amsterdam è una città il cui skyline pare un merletto. Eppure è una delle città meno artefatte che io abbia mai visitato, nonostante la straordinaria omogeneità dell'architettura.
Il suo stile cinque-seicentesco rimane immutato tutt'oggi, malgrado il turismo e il suo alto livello di organizzazione e tecnologia.
Ciò che traspare immediatamente è la sua vivibilità: l'asfalto è rarissimo e il traffico ridotto per l'80% a biciclette e tram (la cui rete fittissima ed efficiente serve tutta la città. La metropolitana invece ha una sola breve linea).
Amsterdam is a city whose skyline looks like a lace. Anyhow it is one of the city less contrived that I have ever visited, despite the extraordinary homogeneity of the architecture.
His five-seventeenth-century style remains unchanged today, notwithstanding the tourism and its high level of organization and technology.
What emerges immediately is its liveability, the asphalt is very rare and the traffic is reduced by 80% for bicycles and trams (trams' dense and efficient network serves the whole city. Metro instead has only one short line).

Inoltre è piacevolmente e facilmente percorribile a piedi. Da quando siamo qui, io e mia sorella, abbiamo preso solo due volte il tram: una perché eravamo appesantite dalla valigia, appena arrivate, e l'altra ieri perché, purtroppo, diluviava. Per il resto abbiamo sempre camminato! (altro che spinning!)
It is also pleasantly and easily explored on foot. Since we are here, my sister and I, we took the tram only twice: once because we were weighed down by luggage, when we was just arrived, and another yesterday because, unfortunately, it was pouring. For the rest we have always walked! (other than spinning!)

Ad Amsterdam i primi di marzo fa molto freddo e spesso tira un vento gelido. L'improvvisa primavera che è scoppiata in Italia per noi è già un ricordo! :)
In Amsterdam in early March it is very cold and an icy wind often blows. The sudden spring that broke out in Italy for us is already a memory! :)

In questi giorni il tempo non è stato ottimale e le foto che vedete qui (scattate lunedì) mostrano un cielo molto nuvoloso, che il giorno dopo è migliorato. Ieri invece pioveva molto e ci siamo infatti dedicate ai musei.
Ma non anticipo altro! Vi lascio a questa minigallery e mi dedico al nostro ultimo giorno dedicato allo shopping (riusciremo ad entrare da H&M per accaparrarci un capo della collezione Marni?) e ad un'ultima passeggiata lungo questi splendidi canali!
In these days the weather was not optimal and the photos you see here (taken Monday) show a very cloudy sky, the day after it was better. Yesterday, it rained a lot and we were in fact dedicated to museums.
But not before another! I leave this minigallery and I devote myself to our last day for shopping (we will be able to enter to H&M to grab hold of one item of the collection by Marni?) and a final walk through these beautiful canals!

The bridges over the canals are beautiful when they're illuminated at night.
Do they make you remember the images of the hall of those old cinemas illuminated by these big round bulbs?
