RITA 2010: LE VINCITRICI

Per il secondo anno di fila l’edizione dei Rita è stata un poco in sordina, non per l’organizzazione, scintillante come al solito, ma per i titoli proposti che non sono di qualità eccezionale. Che l’industria si stia ripiegando su sé stessa perdendo di vista le novità più interessanti?

Che tra tutte le candidate abbia per esempio vinto Sherry Thomas con un libro nettamente inferiore a quello candidato allo scorso anno, lasciando all’asciutto signore come la Carlyle, la Guhrke e la Hoyt francamente un poco ci perplime. Così come la terza vittoria della pur bravissima Quinn in tre anni  a scapito di nuovi talenti come Jewel, Linden e soprattutto Dare non depone a favore della Romance Writers of America

Probabilmente la parte migliore della serata sono state la presentatrici: per una Teresa Medeiros candidata sette volte senza mai vincere che minacciava di scappare con la statuetta che doveva consegnare, c’era una Anne Stuart in lunghi guanti viola che improvvisava una specie di strip cantando!

Consoliamoci ,noi, o meglio MarchRose ne ha indovinati diversi, come la Elkeles  nella categoria YA edella Griffin in quella del romantic suspense ( ci spiace un poco per la Rose …), la Higgins nel contemporaneo e la Brady tra i debutti.

Non ci resta che attendere il prossimo anno, sperando in una selezione migliore!
