Selfridges, per chi non l'avesse mai sentito dire, è un grande magazzino di Londra, in Oxford Street, nel quale da pochi mesi è stato inaugurato un intero piano dedicato esclusivamente al mondo delle scarpe! Sono esposte oltre 5.000 paia di scarpe, 120 marchi e 30 modelli creati in esclusiva per Selfridges. L'artefice di
questo "paradiso femminile" è l'architetto canadese Jamie Fobert il quale non si è limitato a creare 6 enormi gallerie, ciascuna con uno stile diverso e con materiali pregiati e insoliti (come velluto, vetro, argilla, acciaio, seta, cemento, gomma), ma ha anche progettato 11 appartamenti-boutique dedicati a singoli brand,
studiati appositamente per evidenziarne le caratteristiche.
Chi di voi, recandosi a Londra, non spenderebbe un'intera giornata all' interno di questo magazzino?
