Il marchio che vi presento oggi, un'altra piacevole scoperta fatta girovagando per Pitti, unisce tradizione, artigianalità e colore: sto parlando di Smart Turnout.Smart Turnout è un brand 100% britannico specializzato nella produzione di abiti e accessori da uomo: da felpe e maglioni a cinture e portafogli, da cappelli e zaini a papillon e cinturini per orologi.
Ogni creazione ha in sé i segni distintivi dello stile britannico: tradizione, originalità e artigianalità. Il colore è un elemento di assoluta importanza, nonché il filo conduttore dietro ad ogni prodotto. I colori che vedete, infatti, rappresentano alcune delle più alte istituzioni elitarie della Gran Bretagna.

Smart Turnout is a 100% british brand that realizes men's clothing and accessories: from jumpers and blazers to belts and wallets, from hats and bags, to papillon and watchstraps.
Each creation represents the hallmarks of British style: tradition, distinction and craftsmanship. Colour is one of the most important element of this brand and also the leitmotif behind each items. In fact, all colours you can see, represent some of Britain's most elite institutions.
STORIA - Le origini di Smart Turnout si ritrovano nelle tradizioni reggimentali e sportive dell'esercito inglese; nelle corse dei cavalli, infatti, ogni cavaliere indossava una divisa con particolari colori.
L'ufficiale delle Guardie Scozzesi, Philip Turner, non trovando una felpa coi colori del suo reggimento per correre a Sandown, se ne fece fare una apposita. La qualità dei materiali, le rifiniture e i colori piacquero così tanto ai suoi compagni, che tutti ne vollero una e oltre alle felpe, commissionarono anche cravatte, calzini e altri capi d'abbigliamento.
Dovendo scegliere un nome per il marchio, l'ufficiale Turner decise per Smart Turnout, un termine usato per i soldati che ricercano il meglio in assoluto, termine che incarna anche la precisione e la qualità dell'azienda.
Smart Turnout si fonda tuttora su questi valori e mantiene viva l'eredità britannica.
STORY - Smart Turnout's origins lie in the regimental and sporting traditions of the British Army; in British horse racing each rider wears a unique set of racing colours.
Since Scots Guards, officer Philip Turner, didn't find a jumper in the colours of his regiment for racing at Sandown, he decided to create his own with the finest materials. He made something that caught the eye of his fellow Guardsmen, who all requested one of their own. Recognising the high quality of these, their requests soon turned into further orders, not just for jumpers, but ties, socks and other regimental items.
The officer Turner turned to the military once again to find a name for his company and he chose Smart Turnout, a term used for soldiers looking their absolute best, embodied the precision and quality he envisioned for his company.
