If an instant photo can combine a retro feeling image with a present instant, Polaroiders chooses to make a link between one of the most historical European cities with an up-coming and relevant event.

Polaroiders goes beyond the Channel, arrives in London in the year of Olympic Games. Polaroiders.it, the biggest social network of Instant Photography born just 2 years ago thanks to the idea of 2 photographers Alan Marcheselli e Carmen Palermo, is -currently- the Italian reference point for Instant Photographers-both amateurs and professionals- and a continuous source of events and projects which have a common goal: to share and spread the beauty and magic of Instant Photography, its uniqueness and originality supported by the idea of showing only the original artworks.

Twelve italian photographers who are going to exhibit more than 70 photos in the British capital city:SPORT, LIFE AND INSTANT PHOTOGRAPHY.

This exhibition is meant to be a tribute to Sport as a metaphor of life and its ever evolving and moving dynamic, in a particular period and in a city that will host of the Olympic Games of 2012. This event will also be an opportunity to admire and get to know closer the new instant films produced by The Impossible Project, that in less than 2 years, has made possible the re-birth of Instant Photography, making a dream come true.During the 2-day exhibition will be the presentation of the book “Polaroiders Year One”, the second volume edited by Polaroiders, an accurate selection of the best Instant photos published on Polaroiders.it from May 2011 to May 2012.

Finally, there will be the opportunity to attend workshops that will show all the artistic techniques of manipulation possible thanks to the new Impossible films.

This exhibition will be an opportunity to learn, admire and to experiment these new films and cameras, to meet personally some of the artists and to ”bring home” a memory which will be remembered as an Instant.

Coerentemente all’idea che una foto istantanea riesce ad unire un’immagine che sa di passato ad un attimo presente, Polaroiders decide di legare una delle capitali europee più dense di riferimenti visivi storici con un evento tanto imminente, quanto importante. Polaroiders va oltre manica, arriva a Londra e lo fa con un mostra nell’anno dei Giochi Olimpici 2012.

Polaroiders.it, il più grande social network italiano di fotografia istantanea, nato appena 2 anni fa da un’idea dei fotografi Alan Marcheselli e Carmen Palermo, è – ad oggi – diventato il punto di riferimento italiano per fotografi amatori e professionisti e fucina sempre viva che forgia eventi e progetti che hanno un unico obiettivo: condividere e diffondere la bellezza e la magia della fotografia istantanea nella sua unicità e originalità, obiettivo sostenuto dall’idea di mettere in mostra solo i pezzi originali e, in quanto tali, unici.
12 fotografi italiani presentano nella capitale britannica più di 70 foto: SPORT, LIFE AND INSTANT PHOTOGRAPHY .

Questa mostra vuole essere un omaggio allo sport come metafora della vita e del suo continuo fluire, in un anno e in una città che ospiterà le Olimpiadi del 2012. Questo evento sarà anche un’opportunità per poter ammirare e conoscere da vicino le nuove pellicole prodotte da The Impossible Project, la nuova realtà che in meno di due anni, ha reso possibile la rinascita della fotografia istantanea, riscrivendo le fila di un sogno che sembrava destinato a scomparire.

Durante i due giorni di esposizione verrà presentato il libro “Polaroiders Anno 1″, secondo volume edito da Polaroiders: un’accurata selezione delle migliori opere istantanee prodotte nell’anno a cavallo tra il maggio 2011/2012 pubblicate sul sito Polaroiders.it

Ci sarà, infine, l’opportunità di partecipare ad un workshop in cui verranno mostrate tutte le tecniche artistiche di manipolazione, possibili grazie alle nuove pellicole Impossible.
Questa mostra sarà un’occasione per ammirare, per imparare, per provare a scattare, per conoscere alcuni degli artisti e portarsi a casa un ricordo vissuto in un istante.
