stella skirt - a FREE pattern from Compagnie M.

I've been sewing a lot, lately, for my little girl!
This is one more pattern from Marte @ Compagnie M. (in the pics you can see the Mara blouse too, tested here ---> release date October 1st!), one of the FREE downloadable she has available on her blog.

This time I chose a size up than my daughter's size and, due to the fact has no elastic on waistband, we're not able to use it atm: it falls down in minutes! In fact, I like much more those clothes that can be worn for a long time, so I use a lot of elasticated waistbands, buttonhole elastic, knitted waistbands...



This skirt has the nice detail of a side panel that I've cut on blue polka dot on white fabric, contrasting with the blue and green plaid (yes, I have a lot of this fabric: it comes from two single bed sheets! You can remember it from the circle dress and the market bag)

Read me in italianQuesta volta ho scelto (sbagliando) di tagliare una taglia in più rispetto all'età mia figlia e, poichè non ha l'elastico in vita, non siamo ancora riusciti ad usarla: le cade giù in pochi minuti! In effetti, mi piacciono molto di più quegli indumenti da bimbo/bimba che possono essere indossati per un lungo periodo, perciò uso un sacco di cinture elasticizzate, elastici con asole, cinturini in maglina ...

Questa gonna ha il bel dettaglio di un pannello laterale che ho tagliato in un tessuto bianco a pois blu, in contrasto con lo scozzese blu e verde (ebbene sì, ne ho un sacco di questo tessuto: si tratta di due lenzuola singole! Magari ti ricordi di averlo visto nel vestito dal collo a cerchio e nella borsa della spesa)
