stylish low-cost shopping in Rua Augusta - Lisbon

La via più 'comoda' per lo shopping - e per una piacevole passeggiata - lisbonese è, a mio parere, Rua Augusta. E' un viale stupendo che parte dalla piazza principale - Praça do Comercio - la più grande l'Europa dopo la nostra San Pietro, che prosegue verso il centro. La strada è pedonale, larghissima, vivace e sempre popolata.

The most 'convenient' street for shopping - and for a pleasant walk - in Lisbon is, in my opinion, Rua Augusta. It's a beautiful avenue that starts from the main square - Praça do Comercio - the largest one in Europe after italian St. Peter's, which continues towards the center. The road is only for pedestrian, iy's very large, lively and always populated.

Lì sarà facile trovare tutti i grandi marchi lowcost come Zara, Mango, H&M, Stradivarious ecc. Io all'estero preferisco concentrarmi sui negozi più tipici, magari più defilati ma che permettono di poter vedere qualcosa di meno visto. Ma, attenzione: è anche vero che lo 'stile' che si vede nelle vetrine di H&M e affini è diverso di città in città.

In ogni caso, ciò che davvero merita in Rua Augusta è Trunz. La vetrina può sembrare (o almeno ad agosto 2011 poteva sembrare) un po' confusionaria, ma vale la pena. I prezzi sono bassissimi e i capi molto originali e stilosi. Come sempre in queste tipologie di negozi, bisogna frugare un po', ma anche le ragazze più estrose, non resteranno deluse. Io ho comprato un vestitino molto originale, con un collo un po' stile egizio, per soli 12,50€! Ho poi trovato un foulard (dovete sapere che adoro i foulard) con una stampa davvero carina per 5 miseri euro e una cintura-corsetto ricamata stile indiana con un motivo cashmere per altri 12€. Sono uscita decisamente soddisfatta. Anche le mie amiche hanno fatto buoni acquisti: Roberta soprattutto ha preso un abito davvero elegante per 29 €.

I then found a foulard (you should know that I do love foulards) with a really pretty print for 5 miserable euros and a belt-bodice embroidered with Indian cashmere pattern for another 12 €. I left it very satisfied. Even my friends made ​​good purchases: Roberta in particular took a very elegant dress for 29 €.

 L'ultimo giorno abbiamo fatto un giro nelle viuzze del Barrio Alto - il quartiere dei locali - dove avevamo notato durante la serata negozi appetibili. In effetti abbiamo visto cose originali, ma nessuna di noi ha più comprato nulla. Curiosità: ho scoperto che chi è residents fuori dall'Unione Europea può fare acquisti a Lisbona senza pagare le tasse IVA o VAT.
