The Carnival of Verres-  as the website explains- refers to a historical fact in 1450 when the family Challant ruled over these lands. During a visit to Verres, Catherine Challant danced in the streets to the sound of some musicians. The population was enthusiastic about this act so open to the people. This fact is commemorated today at the parade of the carnival reconstructing the action-absolutely everything is  in costume.
You will have dancing evening , dinners at the castle and other historical reconstructions very scenic. This historical carnival is a jump in  the past, for sure you will have fun.

Il carnevale di Verres, come spiega il sito, si rifà ad un fatto storico del 1450 quando regnava su queste terre la famiglia Challant. Durante una visita a Verres  Caterina  Challant si mise  a danzare in piazza  al suono di alcuni musicanti. La popolazione era entusiasta di questo gesto così aperto verso il popolo. Questo fatto viene rievocato ancora oggi al corteo storico del carnevale ricostruendo il fatto- tutto assolutamente in costume. Vi aspettano serate danzanti, cene al castello, altre ricostruzioni storiche molto scenografiche. Questo carnevale storico fa un tuffo nel passato, sicuramente vi divertirete.
