The Italian expression "vuota il sacco"? Tell me all! ( Italian and English)

Siete di fronte ad un amico, il suo atteggiamento è strano... è come se avesse qualche cosa da dirvi, ma niente, resta zitto, quasi imbarazzato. Vi è mai capitato? Aspettate, aspettate e poi, non ce la fate più e sbottate dicendogli: " Insomma, vuota il sacco".Non state chiedendo al vostra amico di svuotare chissà che cosa ma di dirvi che cosa vi sta nascondendo
Ogni volta che tento di approfondire una lingua straniera mi rendo conto di come ogni lingua sia caratterizzata da espressioni colloquiali e modi di dire che non sono solo appartenenti alla lingua ma alla cultura stessa di un paese. 
Il modo di dire è simpatico perchè usa una figura retorica che chiamiamo similitudine ovvero " rendere evidente quello che è nel sacco e quindi nascosto".Usato? Usatissimo! Ovviamente non vi venga in mente di usarlo in una situazione formale! Questa è una espressione informale e se volete che funzioni? Usatelo come farebbe un italiano d'hoc: strizzate l'occhiolino in segno d'intesa e gesticolate con le mani verso di voi....lo sapete che siamo maestri nei gesti e non sarebbe completa questa espressione senza tutto questo contorno!

You are with a friend, he seems mysterious ... maybe he has something to say but he doesn't. Embarassing silent. Have you ever been in such situation? You wait more and more. Then suddennly you couldn't contain yourself more and you say him: "Well, svuota il sacco."You are not asking your friend to empty  a sack  ( to empty= svuotare, sacco= sack) but to tell you all without holding back.
Every time I try to study deeply a foreign language, I realize how each language is characterized by colloquialisms and idioms that are not only belong to the same language but to the culture of a country.
This  common saying is nice. It uses an Italian  figure of speech  called "simile" . It means "show me what is hidden in the sack " so " tell me all"Used? Much used! Please, do not use it in a formal situation! This is an informal expression. Do you want to use it as an Italian would do it? The following is the right way. While you are telling this common saying wink at your friend and move your hands toward you   As fa as concerning the gestures, Italians are the best  so our expression would not be complete without all this context!
