Brough Superior is a legendary motorcycle brand. For its highest level of quality and design it was once defined "the Rolls Royce of the motorbikes". Last week at the EICMA show in Milan, Brough Superior Motorcycles unveiled its new SS100, a 1000 cc Sport Classic designed as a 90th anniversary of the most famous Brough Superior model in the company’s history. The new SS100, available since 2014 in a limited number of models, is powered by a 997 cc. 88° V-twin, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder, water and oil cooled engine. The power is between 73 kW (100 hp) and 102 kW (140 hp) @ 10,000 rpm, depending on bespoke settings, while the torque is 125 Nm @ 8,000 rpm. The frame is steel and titanium tubular trellis. The front end features a double wishbone suspension with an Ohlins shock. The rear suspension is a progressive system Ohlins monoshock. The wheels are 18” (front: 120/70 ZR 18; rear 160/60 ZR 18). La scorsa settimana all’EICMA, la Brough Superior Motorcycles ha presentato la sua nuova SS100, una mille realizzata in occasione del novantesimo anniversario del più famoso modello Superior Brough nella storia dell'azienda. La nuova SS100, disponibile dal 2014 in un numero limitato di esemplari, è motorizzata da un 997 cc bicilindrico a V di 88°, DOHC, 4 valvole per cilindro, raffreddato ad acqua e olio. La potenza è tra i 73 kW (100 CV) e 102 kW (140 CV) a 10.000 giri, a seconda delle specifiche richieste dal cliente, mentre la coppia è di 125 Nm a 8,000 giri. Il telaio è in acciaio e titanio tubolare a traliccio. L’avantreno è dotato di una sospensione a quadrilatero con ammortizzatore Ohlins.
