Due ragazzi talentuosi di Portland (Oregon ) , Thor Drake e Drake McElroy, si erano messi in testa di riuscire ad immaginare LA MOTOCICLETTA, quella ideale , semplice, nuda, potente, quel “badass piece of iron”, che avrebbero voluto cavalcare per una vita……..

Ma si rendono conto che da soli sarebbe stato praticamente impossibile arrivare ad una sua definizione ultimativa, immaginarla nella sua interezza. Per questo, 3 anni fa hanno pensato di organizzare il “ THE ONE MOTORCYCLE SHOW” un Exhibit ed un Contest per moto vintage e Custom tramite cui arrivare a quell’ideale di motocicletta che “girava” loro in testa e che, malgrado gli sforzi, non riuscivano a cogliere o trovare.
“ As Plato imagined a table, we imagined a motorcycle. We were thinking a lot about Mr. Plato’s words on the image of a table. The idea is perfect and the product; susceptible to elements and unknown factors, could never be perfect. The idea for us was the One Motorcycle: the stripped down, real deal, simple machine. It was then that we realized we knew a handful of motorcycle builders that in turn knew a handful of builders who all specialized in that “ ONE” type of bike. From there, the idea grew. Our theme for the show would be THE ONE MOTORCYCLE”
Lo scorso 10 e 11 Febbraio si é svolta , in ordine di tempo, l’ultima edizione di cui diamo di seguito i temi portanti:
