by Sheila Rock Sheila Rock was born in the USA and has lived and worked in London since 1970. In addition to her pursuit of fine art photography, she has enjoyed a successful career photographing the entertainment and music industry. Her diverse subjects include artists such as the opera singer, Placido Domingo, the conductor, Sir Simon Rattle, and the actress Kate Winslet. She has also worked with the Royal Opera and the Royal Ballet. British Olympic portraits of Sir Steven Redgrave and Denise Lewis are in the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery, London. Her editorial work has appeared in German Vogue, Elle Magazine, Glamour, British Sunday Times, Time Magazine, Architectural Digest and Brides Magazine. Sheila Rock’s work has been shown in numerous American and British galleries, including June Bateman Gallery, New York Photographers Gallery, London, and Ben Janssens Gallery, London. She has been featured in Black and White Magazine and the British magazines Black and White Photography, The British Journal of Photography and Tricycle: The Buddhist Review.
