Carlo Primieri e tutto lo staff di Primieri Hair sono lieti di invitarvi Giovedì 29 Agosto 2013 alle ore 18:00 all’inaugurazione della mostra-performance di Marino Ficola L’Anima. “Les Privés du Privé” a cura di Marinella Caputo su ideazione di Carlo Primieri che si terrà presso lo spazio espositivo UNONELL’UNICO, che sarà, per la prima volta, aperto al pubblico.
UNU è uno spazio espositivo unico nel suo genere in quanto si trova completamente immerso nella storia. Nasce come luogo privato, ma per la sua importanza storico-artistica si è voluto aprirlo al pubblico rendendolo fruibile. Il visitatore si calerà nel passato romano e medievale poiché le pareti e le volte di UNU – risalenti all’età augustea con successive trasformazioni medievali – si trovano nei pressi dei cosiddetti Nicchioni Romani del Mercato Vecchio di Todi costruiti per sorreggere un’importante area della città antica.

Questi stati d’animo e impressioni verranno filmati e fotografati – previa autorizzazione degli stessi – da parte di operatori specializzati sotto la direzione di Marinella Caputo, Marino Ficola e Carlo Primieri. Tutti questi scatti e riprese confluiranno poi in un video, divenendo esse stesse un’opera d’arte.
Solo dopo aver superato certe contingenze, alla stregua dei modelli della “body-art”, lo spettatore potrà accedere a UNU e vedere l’opera di Marino Ficola L’Anima lì custodita: e visionare il video della sua realizzazione durante un seminario di Carlo Primieri. Soltanto in questa fase avverrà l’epifania e si svelerà la storia della “galleria-cavità”: da qui il titolo esemplificativo della mostra“Les privés du privé”.
Arte contemporanea e arte antica si fondono perfettamente rendendo unico lo spazio espositivo e l’emozione provata. Lo spettatore e soprattutto la sua emotività sono i protagonisti principali dell’evento.
In occasione del Todi Festival 2013, curato da Silvano Spada, ha voluto contribuire alla manifestazione con un ruolo attivo, proponendo questa performace che ha come tema la disamina della psiche e degli stati d’animo dello spettatore.
Questa iniziativa darà inizio a un interessante programma espositivo che verterà sempre sull’esclusività del luogo proponendo allestimenti e installazioni irripetibili.

Carlo Primieri and the staff of Primieri Hair are delighted to invite you to the launch of Marino Ficola’s performance-show: L’Anima: Les Privés du Privé. Conceived by Carlo Primieri and curated by Marinella Caputo, the launch will be held in the exhibition space UNONELL’UNICO, which will open for the first time.
Originally private, UNU is a unique place immersed in history and now made available to the public because of its importance. Upon entering, the visitor will be transported into the past. UNU’s walls and vaults – dating from the Augustan period, with later mediaeval alterations – can be found near Todi’s Old Market area, where the Roman Niches were constructed to support an important area of the ancient city.
The unusual nature of this tall, narrow space – suggestive of an arch, or vault – will amaze and thrill the viewer, whose changing moods will be filmed by specialists (with each individual subject’s permission) under the direction of Marinella Caputo, Marino Ficola and Carlo Primieri. Every click and every take will be fed into a video, which will itself become a work of art.
Only after undergoing a form of initiation, as in certain types of body art, will the spectator be allowed to enter UNU to view the work in the space: Marino Ficola’s L’Anima and his video of a seminar conducted by Carlo Primieri. At this point, there will be an epiphany: the history of the ‘Grotto Gallery’ will be revealed, along with the significance of the title, Les Privés du Privé.
Contemporary and ancient art meld together perfectly in this exhibition to render unique both the place and the viewer’s initial impressions of it. The viewer, and above all, the viewer’s sensations will be the principal protagonists in the event.
UNU has chosen to take an active role in the 2013 Todi Festival, curated by Silvano Spada, with a performance that takes as its theme the investigation of the spectator’s mood and psychological state. Such an initiative will provide a fascinating opening to an exhibition programme that focuses on the unusual and remarkable nature of UNU, an ideal space for one-off exhibitions and installations.
