Che però ci ha riservato una serie pressocchè infinita di grandi emozioni: un nuovo corso con il CKF presso il bel Villaggio del Pescatore incastonato tra la baia di Trieste e la foce del Timavo, nuove amicizie in kayak, visite dal mare di "vecchi" allievi e soprattutto la calorosa accoglienza di Fabio e Riccardo (senza le cui foto non avremmo potuto corredare questo post!).
La partecipazione numerosa e l'alta presenza femminile hanno ancora una volta reso le due giornate piene di lavoro in acqua e a terra, riparati al coperto durante la mezz'ora di abbondante acquazzone e sprofondati in laguna fino alla vita durante le restanti ore di cielo sereno e sole cocente: sembra finalmente arrivata l'estate!
Escursioni lungo costa per raggiungere la piccola spiaggia di ciottoli sotto il castello di Duino, dove tutti si cimentano in uscite bagnate, risalite con il paddle-float e salvataggi assistiti... sotto lo sguardo incuriosito e divertito dei bagnanti, che talvolta riescono a vincere ogni forma di ritrosia e ad avvicinarsi per chiedere informazioni sul kayak e sui corsi.
Il momento migliore della giornata si rivela però sempre quello della pausa pranzo, all'ombra dei pioppi che stormiscono al vento e con effetti preoccupanti delle fatiche mattutine, che prosciugano ogni fibra!
La sera, ovviamente, imperdibile appuntamento con le game accomodate sotto il tavolo per recuperare le calorie perdute in mare con abbondanti libagioni... e altrettante chiacchiere e risate!
La domenica, per chiudere in bellezza, Sandro Spagnol passa a ritirare il Greenland Sea Pearl per apportare le modifiche già concordate con Mauro e se ne va via in bici lungo i pontili, come un moderno ciclocavaliere col kayak in resta... è un mondo popolato di personaggi singolari, quello del kayak da mare!!!
This morning I have overturn the breakfast coffeemilk on legs, chair and parquet, ineluctable symptom of the advanced age and of the tiredness of the past weekend!
What however it has almost reserved us an endless series of great emotions: a new course with the CKF near the beautiful Village of the Fisherman set between the Trieste bay and the mouth of the Timavo river, new friendships in kayak, visits from the sea of "old" students and above all the warm welcome of Fabio and Riccardo (he took the photos for this post!).
The good share and the female presence have once more made the two days full of job in water and on the land, sheltered during the half-hour downpour and sunk in lagoon up to the waist during the remainders times of serene sky and scorching sun: the summer seems finally arrived!
Excursions along the coast to reach the small beach of pebbles under the Duino Castle, where all are ventured in wet exits, re-enter with the paddle-float and assisted rescues... under the amused of the swimmers, that succeed sometimes to win every form of reluctance and to draw near for asking information on the sea kayak and on the courses.
The better moment of the day always reveals the break for lunch, to the shade of the poplars that rustle to the wind and with worrisome effects of the early-morning works, that dry up every fiber!
The evening, obviously, important appointment with "the legas under the table" to recover the lost calories in the sea with a great dinner... and so many chatters and laughters!The Sunday, to close in beauty, Sandro Spagnol gives to withdraw the Greenland Sea Pearl to bring the modifications already arranged with Mauro and goes away with his bike along the wharfs as a modern cycle-knight with the kayak in it stays... the sea kayak world is always populated by unusual characters, isn't it?!?
