Vacheron, tu mi fai girar, tu mi fai girar...

Dopo avervi parlato di due orologi per un target basso, eccovi l' esatto opposto: Vacheron Constantin (tremate, gente!) metiers d' art.
In questa limitatissima (per numero e prezzi, immagino) serie, la maison svizzera si cimenta in pezzi che aggiungono, all' eccellenza della manifattura, decorazioni preziose, smaltate, dorate...
L' ispirazione viene dalle grandi scoperte e dall' oriente, dalle lacche cinesi, completati da movimenti scheletrati e pezzi incisi a mano.

In this limited (for number and prices, I imagine) serie, the swiss brand is used to create piecee that mix the fantastic movement to an excellent manufacture: golden decorations, enamel...

Dedicato a Chagall, viene fatto a mano con la tecnica Grand Feu: in uso fin dal '500, è una smaltatura che si applica a 8/900 gradi. Una volta applicata una base di smalto bianco su questi 31,5 mm la scena viene dipinta a mano avvalendosi di un binocolo speciale, e poi l' orologio infine deve sopportare una ventina di cotture. I tempi di cottura vanno calcolati con precisione, altrimenti si rischia che il forno possa far esplodere il quadrante per dover ricominciare da capo! Infine viene applicato del vetro trasparente protettivo e ricotto per l' ultima volta.
A tribute to Chagall, this watch is handmade with the grand feu technique: used from the 16th century, is a kind of enameling applied at 8/900 Celsius degrees. Once applied an enamel base on the 31,5 mm of the watch, the decoration is handpainted using a special pair of binoculars and than the watch has to stand about 20 bakings. The times of these bakings have to be well calculated, or there's the risk that the watch may be broken!At the end a special protective transparent glass coating is applied and there's the last baking.
