Uno di questi piccoli segreti di bottega mi è arrivato da Julie Gilbert Pollard.Julie ama i colori vibranti e dipinge in modo molto libero dagli schemi usando acrilici, per i massimi scuri, dentro l'acquerello oppure il bianco alla caseina per le alte luci.
Io non sapevo dell'esistenza di questa possibilità, e trovare a Voghera il bianco alla caseina, non è stato facile. Mio marito, a Torino per lavoro, ha acquistato da un negozio di belle arti il magico flacone.
Il bianco alla caseina non mi è servito per coprire zone bianche come suggerisce Julie Gilbert Pollard (le acque spumeggianti di una cascata, nella videolezione ...) ma per riprendere il bianco dei petali, in fiori complicati come la peonia.
Step 1: prime lavature - first washes
Quello che avviene tra colore alla caseina e acquerello tradizionale mi è sembrato morbido e gradevole. In seguito ho scoperto che Stephen Quiller mescola colori alla caseina con gouache, con acquerello ed acrilico, con risultati sorprendenti.Il bianco alla caseina può sostituire un tocco di acrilico bianco o uno di gouache (gli stami di un fiore per esempio) per dare corpo ai dettagli. Io ho trovato brillante questa soluzione e così ve la propongo.Avevo promesso che avrei parlato di quello che nel mio studio rende più facile la vita in un momento in cui sto sperimentando e studiando più intensamente l'estetica del mio lavoro .

Step 3: caseina bianca per modellare i petali - white casein for building petals
I did not know of the existence of this possibility and find out this color, in Voghera, has not been easy. My husband, in Turin to work, bought from a shop of fine arts the magic bottle. The white casein did not help me cover the white areas as suggested by Julie Gilbert Pollard (the sparkling waters of a waterfall, in the demo ...) but to resume the white petals in flowers so complicated as the peony.

What happens between the casein and watercolor I thought it was soft and pleasant. Later I found out that Stephen Quiller mixes colors to casein with gouache, watercolor and acrylic, with surprising results.
Every time a little touch of white acrylic or a little touch of gouache can be used (the stamens of a flower for example) to give body to the details, I found this brilliant solution, and so the I propose to you. It's hot, at least, Danilo is free from work ... nothing is more beautiful to do everything with a gentle pace, go for a walk in the hills, grasp new ideas, which seem to mature as the grapes in the vineyards.
