Yuppy: I'm a five stars!

E' finalmente arrivato il mio brevetto 5* BCU!
Avevo sostenuto l'esame in maggio ad Anglesey con Nigel Dennis, Jennifer Kleck, Fiona Whitehead, Trys Morris e Simon Osborne. Una folta schiera di docenti di prim'ordine che ancora ringrazio tantissimo: durante quei due giorni di esame così impegnativi e carichi di tensione e fatica mi hanno insegnato ancora qualcosa di nuovo e ho imparato, tra le altre cose, qual'è la sottile linea di demarcazione tra l'umiltà e la presunzione!
Poi deve esserci stato qualche ritardo nel controllo dei documenti allegati e dei brevetti precedenti e delle firme dei docenti... insomma, sembrava non volere arrivare mai... ma qualche giorno fa e l'ho trovato nella cassetta della posta di Tatiyak!!! Che emozione!!!
Questo brevetto non è soltanto mio...
Ringrazio gli amici che mi hanno regalato i portafortuna ritratti nella foto pochi giorni prima che partissi per il Galles (hanno funzionato!!!). Ringrazio Mauro che mi ha sempre aiutato e sostenuto, alimentando col suo pragmatismo il mio ottimismo, e che tanto mi ha insegnato a capire e scoprire del kayak e del mare. Ringrazio anche i vecchi e nuovi maestri, per i cattivi e buoni consigli, che negli anni mi hanno spronato ad andare sempre avanti...
E ringrazio anche tutti gli amici di lunga data e di recente incontro perché con loro ho condiviso tante esperienze, dai corsi alle escursioni ai viaggi, sempre così entusiasmanti ed istruttive. E tutti coloro che ho incontrato pagaiando in ogni dove, perché da ciascuno ho appreso sempre qualcosa in più.
E' anche grazie a tutti VOI che ho raggiunto le mie 5 stelle!!!

My 5* award has finally arrived!
I've passed the assessment last May in Anglesey with Nigel Dennis, Jennifer Kleck, Fiona Whitehead, Trys Morris and Simon Osborne. A team of great coaches that I still thank so much: during that so stressful two days they taught me me something always new and I learned, among others, the thin distinction between humility and arrogance!
Then there was a delay... it seemed not to want to arrive... but at the end I found it into the Tatiyak's letter box!!! What a big big big emotion!!!
This award is not only mine...
I want to thank my friends who gave me the mascots on the picture just few days before my trip to Wales. I also thank my partner Mauro who always helped and sustained me, feeding with his pragmatism my optimism, and who taught me so much about kayak and sea. I obviously thank my old and new coaches, for bad and good suggestions, that always spurred me to go ahead...
And I also thank all my paddle buddies because I shared with them so many experiences, courses, assessments and trips, that always were thrilling and instructive. And also all those people that I met paddling around because every one taught me something new every time.
So it is also thanks to all of YOU that my 5 star award has been possible!!!
