Alessandro Petacchi rientra nel Giro di Turchia

Sarà Alessandro Petacchi il nome di punta della Lampre-ISD per il Giro di Turchia, corsa in programma dal 22 al 29 aprile.
Per il rientro alle corse dopo la Milano-Sanremo, AleJet sarà supportato dai compagni di squadra Vitaly Buts, Massimo Graziato, Denys Kostyuk, Dmytro Krivtsov, Oleksandr Kvachuk, Oleksandr Sheydyk e Davide Viganò.
La squadra sarà diretta da Bruno Vicino, supportanto dai massaggiatori Napolitano e Varalli, dai meccanici Kunchenko e Romanò, dal dottor Pollastri e dall’addetto stampa Carlo Saronni.

“Sono contento di tornare ad assaporare l’atmosfera della gara, in una corsa nella quale ho ottenuto sempre buone soddisfazioni – ha spiegato Petacchi – Sarà importante prima di tutto ritrovare un passo competitivo, sono curioso di vedere il mio livello su percorsi mai scontati, come effettivamente sono quelli turchi. Ovviamente, mi piacerebbe essere in prima fila a lottare negli sprint: avrò compagni in grado di supportarmi efficacemente, proveremo a ottenere qualcosa di buono”.

Il ds Vicino ha così introdotto la squadra:

“L’attenzione primaria sarà verso Petacchi: i corridori per aiutarlo in vista delle volate non mancheranno, dato che Viganò, Graziato, Buts, Krivtsov e Kvachuk sanno muoversi bene. Kostyuk e Sheydyk proveranno la gamba nelle tappe più mosse. Il Giro di Turchia è una corsa che offre spazi per mettersi in mostra: compatibilmente con le esigenze della squadra, mi attendo che tutti i nostri atleti potranno sfruttare al meglio le occasioni che verranno loro concesse”.

In occasione esclusivamente del Giro di Turchia, la divisa della Lampre-ISD presenterà una modifica: sui fianchi della maglia, infatti, troverà spazio il marchio Beko. Beko è un marchio turco di elettrodomestici, prodotti da un’azienda cliente del Gruppo Lampre.

“I’m happy to come back to races, especially in a competition that usually gives me satisfactions – Petacchi explained – First of all, it will be necessary to improve the feeling with the race pace, then I’ll focus my attention of trying to be competitive in the sprints. The team mates are all skilful in supporting me, so I think we’ll be able to try to obtain good results”.

Sport director Vicino’a analysis:

“I think we can aim to hit the targets of the stages thanks to Petacchi, who’ll receive a good support by the team mates Buts, Krivtsov, Viganò, Graziato and Kvachuk. Sheydyk and Kostyuk will test their condition on the more demanding races”.

Only in Tour of Turkey, Lampre-ISD’s cyclists will wear a modified cycling suite, with the logo Beko on the sides of the jersey. Beko is a Turkish brand of domestice appliances that are produced by a customer of Lampre company.
