AltaRoma Gennaio 2016. Quattromani e l'Argia.

Nell'edizione AltaRoma di gennaio 2016,  il calendario e' stato diviso, per la prima volta, a meta' tra i grandi nomi dell'Alta Moda - di cui vi parlero' in un prossimo post - e i brand emergenti e di pret-a-porter che hanno partecipato a WION la scorsa edizione o che ne sono stati finalisti. Tra questi, Quattromani, finalista nell'edizone del 2013 che ha sfilato nell'ambito dell'evento New Designer at Coin Excelsior con la collezione FW16/17. Dopo le Janas, fatine tessitrici, il duo Quattromani ( Massimo Noli e Nicola Frau), ci fa tornare nel microcosmo delle leggende sarde, con le sue storie e i suoi colori, facendoci scoprire il rito dell'Argia, ragno velenoso, dal cui morso ci si salva grazie a canti e balli di una donna nubile, una sposa e una vedova.
At the January 2016 edition of AltaRoma, the schedule was equally divided, for the first time, between the big name of Haute Couture - that I'll write in my next post - and the ready to wear emerging brands that were either at the latest edition of WION or have been in it in the past. Among them, Quattromani, finalist in the 2013 edition, that had a fashion show at the New Designer at Coin Excelsior ( a luxury shopping mall in Rome) with their FW16/17 collection. After the Janas, the weaving fairy, the Quattromani duo ( Massimo Noli and Nicola Frau), take us back to Sardinian legens ( their homeland), with its stories and colours. We discover the ritual of Argia, a poisonous spider, whose bite can be healed by songs and dances performed by a nubile woman a married one and a widow.


Collezione fatta di contrasti, dai capi full print - pantaloni, giacche, gonne pantalone e gonne a ruota - a blocchi di colore, dal rosso al mostarda,  al total black con tocchi di rosa e azzurro; da silhouette fascianti dei maxi dress alla fluidita' degli abiti midi, dalla sportivita' delle giacche alla severita' dei cappotti voluminosi a volte impreziositi dall'Argia, tessuta a pibiones ( ad acino d'uva), ulteriore richiamo alla tradizione sarda.
A collection of contrasts, full print items - trousers, jackets, skorts and full skirts - and block of colours , from red to mustard, to total black with accents of pink and blue; from the  bodycon silhouettes of the maxi dresses to the fluidity of the midi dresses, from the sporty cut of the jackets to the severity of the voluminous coats enriched by the Argia, wowen with the pibiones technique ( as a grape), another nod to the Sardinian heritage of Quattromani
