Antico Caffè Greco, a Roma

Sono passata in via Condotti, davanti al Caffè Greco non so quante volte prima di entrarci e rimanere ammaliata dallo scintillio dell’arredamento interno. Non lo so, forse tutta quella storia e quella sontuosità mi metteva in soggezione, forse perchè prendere un caffè al volo senza godere in pieno dello spettacolo della stanza del bar non rende giustizia all’Antico Caffè Greco.
Un locale così va vissuto, va assaporato e goduto con calma, che sia una semplice tazza di caffè con un pasticcino poco importa, l’importante è vivere l’esperienza nella sua pienezza. Dal 1760 l’Antico caffè Greco è un ambito ritrovo di intellettuali e personaggi di spicco della città Eterna. Qui sono passati numerosi artisti di tutti i generi, qui è stata scattata la foto della celebre copertina di Minuetto di Mia Martini e sempre qui c’è la più grande galleria d’arte privata aperta al pubblico.All’esterno l’insegna elegante e sobria, ben curata ma non sfarzosa non lascia immaginare quello che c’è varcata la porta d’ingresso. Preziose e antiche carte da parati a rivestire tutte le stanze, mobili originali d’epoca e accessori scintillanti per far risaltare, come se ce ne fosse ancora bisogno, i succulenti pasticcini in bella mostra nei banconi del bar.Un consiglio: prendetevi un caffè al bancone, un buon pasticcino e godetevi la calma e la pacatezza che questo splendido, storico locale può offrire.

I went in via Condotti, in front of Antico Caffè Greco I do not know how many times before I get in there and get mesmerized by the sparkle of the interior. I do not know, maybe the whole thing and sumptuousness that put me in awe, perhaps because having a coffee to go without fully enjoy the show room of the bar does not do justice to Antico Caffè Greco. This cafe so should be lived, it should be savored and enjoyed slowly, it's a simple cup of coffee with a pastry does not matter, the important thing is to enjoy the experience to its fullest.
Since 1760 Antico Caffè Greco is a coveted haunt of intellectuals and prominent personalities of the Eternal City. Here are passed numerous artists of all kinds, here was taken the pic of the famous LP cover of Mia Martini Minuetto and always here there is the largest private art gallery open to the public.
Outside the insignia elegant and sober, well-groomed but not opulent don't represent what you find entering the front door. Precious and ancient wallpaper to cover all the rooms, original furniture and sparkling accessories to bring out, as if any were needed, the mouth-watering pastries on display in the bar counters.
A tip: take a coffee at the bar, a good pastry and enjoy the calm and peacefulness that this beautiful, historic venue can offer.
