Are British frogs cold?

Do you remember when I told you that the Boyfriend is very creative in finding word associations in order to remember Italian words more easily? Well, I couldn't help but sharing this pearl of wisdom with you.Apparently, whenever he hears the Italian word "freddo" (=cold) he thinks of this...
Vi ricordate quando ho detto che il Boyfriend e' molto creativo nel trovare associazioni di parole per ricordare i termini italiani piu' facilmente:Beh, non potevo non condividere con voi questa perla di saggezza.Sembra che, ogni volta che sente la parola italiana "freddo", lui pensi a questo...
Yes, it'a frog called Freddo. Actually not only a frog, but also a chocolate bar. It's made by Cadbury's that is one of the most popular chocolate products' brands here in Her Majesty's land.It doesn't seem as if there is any connection at all between this frog's name and the Italian language though. I mean, it's not called like that because it is a cold-hearted frog or even frigid, I suppose. It's more likely to be a variation from "Fred" or something like that.
Si', e' una rana di nome Freddo. Non e' solo una rana veramente, ma anche una barretta di cioccolato. E' prodotta da Cadbury's che qui in terra di sua maesta' e' uno delle marche dolciarie piu' celebri.Non pare ci sia alcun legame tra il nome di questa rana e la lingua italiana, in realta'.Cioe', la rana non si chiama cosi' perche' e' senza cuore o, chesso', frigida. Almeno credo.E' piu' probabile che si tratti solo di una variante di "Fred" o simili.
Anyway, from now on, all the English speakers will be aware that in Italian "freddo" means "cold" and they will probably think of a nice chocolate bar, while they're freezing somewhere on the Italian Alps . Italy is not always warm you know?
Comunque, d'ora in poi, tutti i madrelingua Inglesi sapranno cosa significa "freddo" e probabilmente penseranno ad una bella barretta di cioccolato, mentre congelano da qualche parte sulle Alpi Italiane. Perche', nel caso non lo sapessero ancora, in Italia non fa sempre caldo.
A few other Boyfriend's creative associations...Un altro po' di queste "associazioni creative" del Boyfriend...
"AMICI" (Italian for "friends") sounds to him like "I'm itchy" (=mi prude) !!!!"CANI" (= dogs) reminds him of the question tag "Can he?"(=lui puo'?)"GATTO" (= cat) sounds to him pretty much like "Gateau" (French for cake, commonly used by British refined cordon bleus)
And last but not least, but this is more like a joke between us: "FUSILLI" (a type of pasta) sounds a lot like "silly".Therefore the Boyfriend has officially been renamed "fusilly boy" by his loving Girlfriend.
