Art and fashion: fashion is art!!

Buongiorno a tutti!!:)
Stamani è venerdì e come ogni venerdì è la volta della mia carissima rubrica sull'Arte e la Moda, ossia "ART AND FASHION: FASHION IS ART".
Questa volta ho deciso di presentarvi una costumista britannica molto famosa, visto il suo enorme talento, sto parlando di SANDY POWELL.
Sandy Powell è nata a Londra, il 7 aprile 1960, è una costumista britannica, cresciuta a sud di Londra, ha studiato alla Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design e ha iniziato la sua lunga e fortunata carriera realizzando costumi per produzioni teatrali e compagnie di danza. Ha iniziato nel 1986 lavorando di Caravaggio di Derek Jarman.
Nel corso della sua carriera ha collaborato con il regista Neil Jordan, poi ha lavorato anche con Mike Figgis, Todd Haynes, Stephen Frears e molti altri. Negli ultimi anni la creatività di Sandy è possibile ammirarla nei film del grande maestro Martin Scorsese.
Candidata nove volte all'Oscar per i migliori costumi, ha vinto tre statuette, rispettivamente per Shakespeare in Love, The Aviator e The Young Victoria.
A me piace moltissimo Sandy Powell, mi piace la sua creatività, l'originalità, la cura nei dettagli e lo studio attento e minuzioso per quanto riguarda la storia.

This time I decided to present you a very famous British costume designer, saw his enormous talent, I'm talking about SANDY POWELL.
Sandy Powell was born in London, April 7, 1960, is a British costume designer, grew up in south London, he studied at Central Saint Martins and began his long and successful career making costumes for theater productions and companies dance. He started working in 1986 Caravaggio Derek Jarman.
During his career he has collaborated with director Neil Jordan, then he worked with Mike Figgis, Todd Haynes, Stephen Frears and many others. In recent years, the creativity of Sandy you can admire the films of the great master Martin Scorsese.
Nominated nine times for an Oscar for Best Costume Design, he won three statuettes, respectively for Shakespeare in Love, The Aviator and The Young Victoria.
I really like Sandy Powell, I love his creativity, originality, attention to detail and the careful study and meticulous with regard to history.
