Lisbona non è sul mare – come alcuni crederanno – ma sulfiume (amo le città coi fiumi – credo che ogni città dovrebbe avere un fiumeche l’attraversa).
Per poter godere delle spiagge portoghesi (fredde ma splendide) è necessariomuoversi un po’.
Lisbon is not at the sea - as some believe - but at the river (I love the city with rivers - I think every city should have a river running through it).
In order to enjoy the Portuguese beaches (cold but beautiful) is necessary to move a little.

Noi conoscendo i prezzi di Milano non abbiamo osato prendere taxi se non quando era necessario e così abbiamo perso l’occasione di risparimiare molto, viaggiando solo con quelli.
In più io che in generale soffro abbastanza i trasporti, spesso sui tram e gli autobus sono stata molto nauseata. Non so se è lo stile di guida lisbonese o le sue strade a favorire il rivoltamento dello stomaco, ma è una cosa da considerare.
Quindi, se siete anche solo un piccolo gruppo consiglio vivamente l’utilizzo dei taxi sia per tratte brevi che quelle medio/lunghe!!
In addition, public transport in general are quite expensive (trams are even more than the trains) and taxis instead are super super cheap. We know the prices of Milan so we not have dared to take a taxi but when necessary, and so we lost the opportunity to save much money, traveling by them.
In addiction I generally suffer carsick, and often on trams and buses I have been very sick. I do not know if it's driving style or its Lisbon's roads to facilitate the turning over of the stomach, but it is something to consider.
So if you're just a small group it's highly recommend the use of taxis for short and medium / long distances!

Il fatto è che per il primo biglietto che si acquista è necessario comprare un biglietto cartaceo elettronico al prezzo di 50 cent sul quale si caricheranno i vari viaggi – sia del treno che della metrò. L’errore in cui è facile cadere (e nel quale siamo ovviamente cadute anche noi) è quello di far fare ad uno i biglietti per tutti: se semplicemente si selezione il numero 4, si caricheranno 4 corse su un medesimo biglietto, quindi per una persona soltanto. E’ necessario quindi che ognuno abbia la sua carta elettronica e ognuno carichi su di essa i viaggi che desidera.
II regola: chiedi e ti sarà detto.
Come vi dicevo, noi siamo partite un po’ allo sbaraglio, senza guide e informazioni. Però c’è da dire che Ogni stazione è dotata di un centro informazioni per il turismo davvero efficiente, tenuto da giovani poliglotti cordiali e disponibili. Abbiamo chiesto a loro cartine, indicazioni, cosa vedere e come raggiungerlo e le loro risposte (in italiano perfetto) sono sempre state eloquenti e impeccabili. Quindi non temete e chiedete!
Rule I: Every Man for Himself.
You've to buy train tickets at ticket machines, for example at the station of Rossio. The fact is that for the first ticket you buy you need to buy a paper electronic ticket at the price of 50 cents on which you'll load the various trips - both for the subway or for the train. The mistake that is easy to make (and obviously we made it too) is let one person buying everybody's tickets: eg. if you simply select the number 4, it will load 4 times on the same ticket, so for a person only - not 1 trip for 4 people. It 's necessary that each had own card and electronic and loads on it the trips that want.
II rule: ask and you will be told.
As I said, we leave into the fray, without guides and information. But it must be said that every station has a really efficient information center for tourism, that is lead from very friendly and helpful young polyglots. We asked for maps, directions, what to see and how to achieve and their answers (in perfect Italian) have always been clean and eloquent. So do not be afraid and ask!
Detto questo, torniamo alla Stazione di Rossio con destinazione Cascais – cittadina residenziale custode di una delle più belle spiagge della zona: il Guincho.

Per raggiungere Cascais si prende appunto un treno da Rossio per Sintra – altra deliziosa cittadina a cui dedicherò un post più avanti – poi si prende un autobus per Cascais e dalla stazione di Cascais un altro autobus per il Guincho. Non è immediato il viaggio, ma i trasbordi sono abbastanza rapidi. Io consiglio a tutti coloro che vogliono dedicare una giornata al mare portoghese di farci un salto. Per chi usa la macchina il viaggio è decisamente più immediato (37 min):To get to Cascais you've to take a train from Rossio to Sintra - another delightful town about which I will devote a post later - then take a bus from the railway train to Cascais and from Cascais another bus for Guincho. The journey is not immediate, but transshipments are quite fast. I advise all those who want to spend a day at sea Portuguese to get there. For those who use the car perhaps the journey is absolutely more immediate (37 min):
In ogni caso si può arrivare e vale la pena farlo. A ripagare quel po' di tempo perso è una sabbia color cammello sofficissima e lo spettacolo dell'oceano. Il tutto è colorato dalla altissima presenza di kitesurfer.
Il mare è sì gelido (a Tarifa nonostante la spiaggia fosse oceanica il bagno era fattibile, lì no) ma lo spettacolo merita. Chi ama poi gli sport acquatici ha trovato un paradiso che non rinuncia alla dimensione di socialità: la spiaggia non è sovraffollata per fortuna, ma c'è un buon numero di ragazzi.

Anyway, getting is not impossible and it's worth it. To pay off that time you've lost is a very soft camel-colored sand and the spectacle of the ocean. Everything is colored by high the presence of kitesurfer.
The sea is so cold (when I was in Tarifa I swam although it was ocean too, in Cascais I wasn't able to) but the view deserves. Those who love water sports will found a paradise that does not give up the social dimension: the beach is not overcrowded, fortunately, but there are many young people.
