[BRICO] Pausa Tisana, il riciclo delle bacchettine cinesi - Tea Break, how to recycle chopsticks

Quando sono al lavoro, spesso per cena ordino da un take away, di quelli di nuova generazione, che si definiscono asian fusion, asian food....in cui il menu ti propone cibi cinesi, giapponesi e thailandesi...e una volta assaggiati gli udon con il pesce e la pasta thailandese (così loro chiamano per noi profani il pad thai) è stato amore! Ad ogni ordine un paio di bacchettine....ma no, sono occidentale e nata praticamente con la forchetta per le tagliatelle in mano, quindi ho un rifiuto per mettermi a mangiare con le bacchettine....e per quanto sappia ben armeggiare i ferri "da calza" sono assolutamente incapace di prendere in mano e mangiare in maniera dignitosa quelle bacchettine. Così pasto dopo pasto ho accumulato una serie di bacchette intonse, pronte ad avere una vita nuova!
When I'm at work I often buy me some asian food for dinner, I found a lovely take away who offer you Chinese, Japanese and also Thai food! I love the udon with fish but also the pad thai!! Every order I made I received also a pair of chopsticks! But, even if I'm pretty good whit the whole needle thing, I'm a little dummy when trying to eat with chopsticks, and also, I'm Italian, I'm kinda born with a fork for pasta in my hand! So, I put all the chopsticks in a drawer for future purpose!

Non ho vinto, proprio no, hanno vinto tre creazioni completamente diverse dalla mia, più elaborate e due particolarmente "vecchio stile". Bellissimi lavori, ben fatti, soprattutto il vincitore eletto dal pubblico, ma che semplicemente sono lontani dai miei gusti più minimal diciamo! The chance to use them was given to me from the contest "I Like Dremel", sponsored by Dremel Italy. I didn't win, my project is ecofriendly and minimal, the winning ones are more complicated and a little bit "old school" for me! By the way, I liked to partecipate and I will also like to share my project and the tutorial to make it on your own with you! Se avete delle bacchettine anche voi in giro per casa, continuate a collezionarle e seguendo questo mio breve tutorial protete trovarci una nuova vita! E si, se mi state leggendo significa che come me passate ore al computer, quindi quello che sto per mostrarvi potrà essere utile anche a voi!
Prendiamo le bacchette, nel mio caso 21, dispari per ottenere l'effetto che vedrete in foto!
First of all, grab the chopsticks! I've used 21!

Spacchettiamole e tagliamole tutte alla stessa altezza!
Unpack them and cut all at the same measure!



Io ho usato il Dremel, voi potete armarvi di seghetto da legno!
I used Dremel, you can use a wood saw, or a rotating tool too!
Si rifiniscono quindi tutte le bacchette con un foglietto di carta vetrata!
Then, smooth the surface with some sandpaper.

Disponiamo le nostre bacchette su un piano e prepariamoci ad assemblare il tutto con spago da pacchi e un po' di colla vinilica!
Put all the chopsticks in order on a plain surface and prepare to assemble them all with some vinyl glue and also two strands of rope.

Prima posizioniamo le due bacchette che faranno da appoggio con un po' di colla vinilica.
First, place the two chopsticks, they will be our base support, and use a little bit of glue. 

Prima che la colla si sia completamente asciugata, aiutandosi con un ago, si possono fissare insieme tutte le bacchette con dello spago da pacchi, per dare quel tocco di zattera e per maggiore sicurezza della struttura.
Before the glue is completely dry begin to fix all the chopsticks with the rope, helping you with a sewing needle, this is for more stability but also because I love the raft effect!



Il sotto-tazza era già finito, ma io mi sono voluta sbizzarrire con un po' di pirografia per la prima volta in vita mia!
My mug-holder was already complete, but I wanted to try decorate using the pokerwork, for the first time in my life!
Una volta finito, il PausaTisana è pronto per stare sulla scrivania, a fianco al computer nelle lunghe giornate invernali, per ospitare la vostra tisana/te/cioccolata e mettervi un po' di allegria!
Once you've done, you can place your TeaBreak on your desk, next to the computer, ready to keep your tea/chocolate/tisane in these long and cold days....and also to take you a smile!!
