{Brogue Shoes}

Il Brogue è un modello di scarpa con tacco basso, è un modello che tradizionalmente è caratterizzato da più pezzi, tomaia in pelle robusta con perforazioni decorativi (o "brogueing") e  dentellatura lungo i bordi visibili i pezzi.  Il Brogues moderno affonda le loro radici in un scarpa rudimentale origine in Scozia e in Irlanda, che è stato costruito utilizzando pelle non conciata, con perforazioni che ha permesso all'acqua di fuoriuscire dalle scarpe quando chi lo indossa attraversato terreno bagnato come una palude.  Le Brogues erano tradizionalmente considerate calzature per uso esterno  ma le brogues sono ora considerate appropriate nel maggior parte dei contesti.  Oggi, oltre alla loro forma tipica di calzature in cuoio robuste o stivali,  può anche assumere la forma di scarpe da sera di business, scarpe da ginnastica, il tacco alto scarpe da donna o qualunque altra forma altra scarpa che utilizza o evoca il multi-pezzo di costruzione e perforata, bordi seghettati pezzo caratteristico della francesina.
