Castañer spring/summer 2012: we ♥ espadrillas (not only!)

Conoscete il marchio di calzature spagnolo Castañer? Magari ad alcune il nome non dice nulla, ma sono sicura che appena scriverò la parola che sto per scrivere tutte capiranno: espadrillas.Pensate che l'azienda ha origini nel 1776 quando per primo Rafel Castañer iniziò a produrre questa tipologia di calzatura destinata a diventare nel giro dei secoli uno dei capi intramontabili e più scopiazzati di tutta la storia della calzatura mondiale.Con il passare dei secoli e l'alternarsi delle mode il brand si è evoluto, pur mantenendo fede alle tradizioni fatte di materiali di prima qualità, l'iconica suola in corda (che si è trasformata anche in zeppa) e l'attenzione per il cliente, un'attenzione ripagata dall'amore che alcune star del passato (Grace Kelly, giusto per fare un nome) e del presente (Scarlet Johansson) hanno sempre dimostrato per questa tipologia di calzature.
Per la primavera-estate 2012 Castañer ha pensato a due collezioni raccolte sotto la deonominazione "Rays of sunshine". Una collezione Basic che raccoglie modelli semplici dai sandali superflat a comode zeppe disponibili in un'infinita varietà di colori, alcune abbellite da stampe a pois, fiocchi, altre con la punta aperta, il comune denominatore sono i materiali eccezionali come cotone, suede e satin.
La collezione Fashion invece punta su due fattori perfettamente miscelati: tradizione manifatturiera e innovazione. Questi due fattori hanno dato vita ad una collezione di sandali altissimi (12 cm è la media) adatti ad ogni stile e anche in questo caso impreziosite da materiali di prima qualità come pelle, suede, lycra, cotone, rafia, satin.

* Do you know the shoes brand Castañer? Maybe to some of you this name mean nothing. but I'm pretty sure that as soon as I write the word that I'm going to write all of you will understand: espadrillas.The company has origins in 1776 when Rafael Castañer was the first to produce this kind of shoes bound to become from age to age one of the evergreen piece (and also one of the most copied) of the worldwide history of shoes.
From everlasting to everlasting and with the trends seasonal rotation the brand has an evolution, keeping faith  with the traditions made of high quality materials, the iconic rope sole (also transformed in wedges and platforms) e the attention for the customer, an attention payed off by the love demonstrated for this kind of shoes by some ancient stars (Grace Kelly above all) and of the present (Scarlet Johansson).
For the spring-summer 2012 Castañer has designed two collections denominated "Rays of sunshine". The first one is a basic collection with simple models, it includes superflat sandlas, comfortable wedges. All the models are available in a lot of colors, some of them are also embellished with polka dots prints, bows, trims but the common denominator are exceptional materials like cotton, suede and satin. The Fashion collection bet on two perfectly mixed elements: craftsmanship and innovation. These two elements had rise a super-hig sandal collection (on the average 12 cm) suitable for every style and also in this case embellished with first quality materials such as leather, suede, lycra, cotton, raffia and satin.
