Finalmente ieri sono riuscito ad 'allungarmi' a Londra e tra le varie fermate fashion una e' stata alla Saatchi Gallery per la mostra LittleBlackJacket di Chanel che sta facendo un tour mondiale, proprio come le star della musica. Immagini scattate dal Karl tutto-fare, styling di Carine Roitfeld che impersona(qui sopra) in maniera impressionante) Coco Chanel. Il duo ha creato delle immagini uniche e molto ma molto interessanti con l'iconico black jacket della Maison, rendendolo ancora piu' iconico ma allo stesso tempo attuale e contemporaneo. Vediamo perche'. Interessante la scelta dei 'soggetti: non solo personaggi che gravitano attorno al fashion system, conosciuti a livello mondiale, ma anche volti nuovi e molti uomini! Tutti riconosciamo, anche se di schiena Anna Wintour, Sarah jessica Parker e Jane Birkin qui sotto.
I finally managed yesterday to 'stretch' to London and one of my fashion stops was at the Saatchi Gallery to see the Little Black Jacket exhibition by Chanel that is touring around the world, just like a music star. Pictures taken by Karl I-can-do-everything, styled by Carine Roitfeld that impersonates (in a truly impressive way) Coco Chanel. The couple created really stumming portraits with the iconic black jacket, making it even more iconic and at the same time modern and contemporary. Let's see how. First of all the choice of 'subjects' is really interesting: not only poeple that revolve around the fashion system, know worldwide, but also new faces and many men! Il Little Black jacket si rinnova se indossato da giovani attrici. Nella mia selezione ci sono Elisabeth Olsen, Kirsten Dunst e Dakota Fanning. Infatti l'idea portante di questo progetto di Chanel e' quello di far conoscere il brand anche alle nuove generazioni e mostrare (anche se non ce n'e' veramente bisogno) quanto questo capo sia uno dei pilastri della storia della moda. Ma le sorprese non finiscono qui.
The Little Black Jacket renew itself if worn by young actresses. In my selection you can see Elisabeth Olsen, Kirsten Dunst and Dakota Fanning. In fact the main idea of this Chanel project is to make the brand know by the new generations and show ( even if there's no need) that this item is one of the masterpieces of fashion history. But surpises don't stop here.
The Little Balck Jacket is so versatile and timeless that, not only it goes beyond the generations, but also beyond gender! Lots of portraits of men wearing it (models, artists and designers).
