Cosa fare a Londra? Bè, a parte che vale la pena anche solo girarla a piedi per scoprire continuamente angoli caratteristici ed architetture particolari, la scelta è praticamente infinita: musei, monumenti, negozi, attrazioni... c'è solo l'imbarazzo della scelta!
Nonostante sia tutto organizzatissimo e superefficiente, c'è da metter in conto che molto spesso si trovano file abbastanza lunghe, noi neppure in più di una settimana non siamo riusciti a vedere e fare tutto quello che avevamo in programma!
What to do in London? Well, apart from that it is worth even turn it on foot to discover the characteristic angles and particular architectures, the choice is almost endless: museums, monuments, shopping, entertainment ... you'll be spoiled for choice!
Although everything is very organized and super-efficient, it must be put into account that very often found queue long enough, we even more than a week we could not see and do everything we had planned!
Innanzi tutto i MUSEI: sono bellissimi!
Gli inglesi hanno la capacità di valorizzare al meglio quello di cui dispongono, ed i musei ne sono l'esempio più evidente: non contengono chissà quale meraviglia, la maggior parte delle cose esposte sono per lo simili ad altre più già viste, ma per come vengono presentate sembrano chissà che! Oltretutto sono molto ben congegnati ed interattivi per cui visitarli diventa un'esperienza veramente timolante ed interessante, e soprattutto sono gratuiti!!!
First of all the MUSEUMS: they are beautiful! The British have the ability to make the most of what they have, and the museums are the most obvious example: do not contain some kind of wonder, most of the things on display are mostly similar to other already seen, but as are presented seem knows that! Besides, they are very well designed and interactive so visit becomes a truly timolante and interesting, and most are free of charge !!!
Partiamo con quello che mi è piaciuto di più: il NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM dedicato alla storia naturale ed alla geologia: è semplicemente fantastico! Sarà che l'edificio ricorda in tutto il castello di Hogwarts, sarà che amo la biologia e le scienze naturali, sarà che c'èrano i dinosauri ed i meteoriti, sta di fatto che io mi sono letteralmente innamorata di quel posto! Ho costretto i miei a tornarci due volte (anche se la seconda in realtà ci trovavamo a passarci davanti)! :)
Let's start with what I liked most: the NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM deicated to natural history and geology, is just great! Maybe it's beause it recalled the castle of Hogwarts, maybe beacause I love biology and natural sciences, ,maybe because there were dinosaurs and meteorites, the fact is that I have literally fallen in love with that place! I forced my parents coming back twice (although the latter actually we were to pass in front of it by chance)! :)
Nella parte dedicata alla geologia c'è anche una simulazione del terremoto che c'è stato in giappone qualche anno fa, è una cosa incredibile provare in che modo e quanto si muovesse la terra... e allo stesso tempo non si può evitare di pensare a quanto deve esssere stato terribile per quei poveretti.
L'entrata con lo scheletro del brontosauro è fantastica, da rimanere a bocca aperta!Passiamo al BRITISH MUSEUM: questo è tutto dedicato alla storia (anche se c'è pure una parte riservata agli orologi). Ci sono le mummie egiziane, statue e metope del partenone e la stele di rosetta : personalmente ho apprezzato soprattutto la parte dedicata agli assiri-babilonesi che è davvero grandiosa! Non che le altre sezioni non siano interessanti, ma dopo aver visto il Museo di Torino e quello del Cairo sull'antico Egitto, il Partenone e svariati musei sull'antica Grecia, i reperti che stavano lì non mi hanno colpita più di tanto...
C'è anche una parte interessantissima dedicata all'asia, anche se è piuttosto piccola.
The BRITISH MUSEUM: this is all about history (though there is also an area about watches) There are Egyptian mummies, statues and metopes of the Parthenon and the Rosetta Stone: personally I especially enjoyed the part dedicated to the Assyrian-Babylonian, which is really great! Not that the other sections are not interesting, but after seeing the Museum of Turin and the Cairo one on ancient Egypt, the Parthenon and many museums about ancient Greece, these things were not struck me that much .. There is also an interesting part dedicated to Asia, although it is quite small

Poi c'è lo SCIENCE MUSEUM: questo forse non è importante come gli altri (a parte il Tate ed il Victoria and Albert, che secondo me sono i meno interessanti), ci siamo entrati soprattutto perchè papà stravede per queste cose e sta attaccato al Natural History e di fronte al V&A, ma si è rivelato inaspettatamente interessantissimo e coinvolgente!
C'è anche la ricostruzione del modulo dell'Apollo 10!
Then there is the SCIENCE MUSEUM: this is perhaps not as important as the others (except for the Tate and the Victoria and Albert, who in my opinion are the least interesting), we entered mainly because Dad is crazy about these things and it is near to the Natural History and in front of the V & A, but it turned out unexpectedly interesting and addictive! There is also the reconstruction of the module of Apollo 10!
Infine la NATIONAL GALLERY. Come dice il nome è una galleria di quadri meravilgiosa: io e papà ci fermavamo ogni tre per due a parlare della tecnica, dell'ombreggiatura o della prospettiva di questo e di quel quadro, mamma credo invece si sia annoiata un pò... Immagino che chi non dipinge o disegna possa trovarlo meno interessante rispetto agli altri musei, ma a me è piaciuto davvero tanto!
Finally, the National Gallery of ArtAs the name implies is a gallery of paintings: Dad and me were stopping every paint to talk about the technique, shading or the prospect, I think mom instead has bored a little ... I guess that who does not paint or draw can find it less interesting than the other museums, but I really enjoyed it!
Ora passiamo ai monumenti: l'immancabile visita a BUCKINGHAM PALACE,con il Cambio della Guardia più lungo e pomposo che abbia mai visto, è incredibile che lo rifacciano tuti i giorni!
Now the monuments: the inevitable visit to Buckingham Palace, with the Changing of the Guard longer and pompous I've ever seen, it's amazing that the redo it every day!
La TORRE DI LONDRA!Da fuori non sembra ma è grandissima, e contiene numerose sale in cui sono esposte armature ed utensili vari di corte (la maggior parte d'oro e pieni di pietre prezise, e la magnifica espsosizione dei gioielli della corona (in cui però non si potevano fare foto): una volta visti quelli guarderete Tiffany e Cartier mooooolto diversamente! ;)
The tower of London!From the outside it does not look as large as it is, and contains numerous rooms in which they are exposed armor and utensils of court (most made of gold and filled with jems, and the magnificent exhibit of the crown jewels (in which, however, could not be taken pictures): once seen it, you cannot look atTiffany and Cartier with the same eyes!;)

Lo SHERLOCK HOLMES MUSEUM, è commerciale, ma è delizioso! Ci siamo capitati per caso e mi sono divertita tantissimo!The SHERLOCK HOLMES MUSEUM, is very commercial, but it is lovely! We stumbled upon it by accident and I had lots of fun!
