Ciao ragazze! Oggi vi scrivo per proporvi uno stile che ho pensato unendo S.Valentino, (che ormai dobbiamo ammetterlo, è nell’aria) ad un pizzico di freschezza primaverile, che tutte stiamo aspettando.
Mi sono ispirata all’eleganza un pò retrò unendo pezzi vintage ad uno styling moderno e accativante.
Il titolo di questo set è AN UNEXPECTED SURPRISE: per il titolo mi sono ispirata all’imagine che fa in parte da sfondo al set, io l’adoro. Secondo me esprime tutto ciò che S.Valentino rappresenta, non solo l’amore, ma l’abbandonarsi all’altro, il palpitare di incertezza quando non si sa se si è ricambiati o meno, e l’esporsi senza riserve al giudizio degli altri. La sorpresa è proprio questa. E’ il bacio dell’immagine, che ricorda quelle liberty, è inaspettato, ma non per questo meno gradito.
Quindi ho voluto riprendere il romanticismo del primo novecento, e reinterpretarlo mixando lo stile maschile e femminile, con le stringate in vernice rossa e bianca, che riprendono lo smalto e il rossetto, e la blusa in seta color pesca acquerello quasi trasparente. Gli shorts bianchi in seta lucida, portati sulle gambe nude scaldano un pò questo inverno che ancora ci avvolge.
Al collo un gioiello di perle e fiori che si rifà alle collane anni’20 elegantemente portate dalle signore dell’alta società.
Ho presentato questo set per il concorso su S.Valentino presente su Polyvore. Io ce l’ho messa tutta, ma se non dovesse andare, mi impegnerò per il prossimo contest! =)

Hi beautiliful girls! Today I wanna show you the set I created for the the Valentine night, which we must admit, is in the air. I combined a bit of spring freshness to this beautiful and romantic date.
I was inspired by the vintage elegance mixing old fashioned items to a modern and captivating styling.
The title is AN UNEXPECTED SURPRISE and I was inspired by the pic in the partial background, I love it. I think it expresses everything Valentine’s Day is, not only love, but the total dropping to the other, the uncertain throbbing when you don’t know if you’re given back love the way you do, and expose ourselves without reservation to the others’ judgement. This is exactly the surprise I’m talking about. The kiss of the picture, which reminds of the liberty ones, it’s unexpected, but not less appreciated for this matter.
So I decided to draw the style used during the first years of the IX century and elaborating it, mixing the feminine and masculine side using the red and white vernis flats, which appeal the nail polish and the lipstick, and the peach watercolour silk blouse. The white buff silk shorts worn on naked legs warm up this winter still eshrouding us.
On the neck a pearl and flower jewel which reminds the ‘20s necklaces worn with elegance by the upper class ladies.
I presented this set for a Valentine’s contest on Polyvore. I’ve put all my efforts, but if it shouldn’t go well, I’ll commit for the next time.
