The Time Machine
built on a DeLorean DMC12
The DeLorean DMC12
The DMC12 is a car entered the collective thanks to Back to the Future movies. It's the only one model produced by the Delorean Motor Company. It's known primarily for the 'Gullwing doors' and for the fiberglass 'underbody', to which non-structural brushed stainless steel panels are affixed. The project comes from a design by Giorgetto Giugiaro. It was produced for a few years, from 1981 to 1983. The company was dissolved when the owner, John DeLorean, was arrested on drug trafficking charges. He was later found not guilty, but it was too late for the DMC-12 to remain in production. The car, powered by a 2.8-liter V engine with 130 hp, is not just a bolt on the asphalt, it reaches 100km / h in just over 10 seconds. But ... with a few tweaks, it could be a really good time machine!
