Designer to Watch: Alessio Spinelli

The appointment today with emerging designers takes us on a field that I, and perhaps the rest of the female population, deeply love: shoes! Thanks to a friend, I arrived ato the site of a young designer who has made my eyes shine with his creations, I'm talking about Alessio Spinelli. His brand was founded in early 2009, when the young italian designer feel quite ready to create something unique and personal. The key words to describe his style are elegance, balance, simplicity and clean lines. He plays a lot with colors, such as the final cleavage has within it seven chamois. But let's see close the collections: the winter is dominated by the Frenchman, while summer there is also a sandal bottom and neckline. Also for the summer collection is working on new models made exclusively for Abbellire Boutique (www.abbellireboutique.com) in Saudi Arabia. Will be on site, but can be purchased only in Arabia (what a shame !!!!). It 's a collection that takes up the same themes of the Italian-international ( not exclusive to Saudi). But let us pass to the fundamental question: where can you buy those?? In Italy in Milan (Boutique Beryl) and Rome (V.le Parioli 79 o all'eur Viale dell'Aeronautica), although he said he's thinking of "go" also on the web. Its logo was designed by Francesco Pacioli from Logotype and he will take care of other aspects of graphics, including the project "Neon" by which I will talk later. Grazie alla segnalazione di un'amica sono arrivata al sito di un giovane designer che ha fatto brillare i miei occhi con le sue creazioni, sto parlando di Alessio Spinelli. Il suo brand nasce nei primi mesi del 2009, quando il giovane designer romano si sente abbastanza pronto per poter dar vita a qualcosa di unico e personale. Le parole chiave per descrivere il suo stile sono: eleganza, equilibrio, sobrietà e pulizia delle linee. Gioca molto con i colori, ad esempio l'ultimo decoltè conta al suo interno ben sette camosci. Ma vediamo un po' da vicino anche le collezioni: quella invernale è dominata dalle francesine, mentre quella estiva troviamo anche un sandalo basso e decoltè. Sempre per la collezione estiva sta lavorando su nuovi modelli realizzati in esclusiva per la boutique Abbellire (www.abbellireboutique.com) in Arabia Saudita. Saranno presenti sul sito, ma acquistabili solo in Arabia ( che peccato!!!!). E' una collezione che riprende gli stessi temi di quella italiana-internazionale (quindi non esclusiva per l'Arabia).Ma passiamo alla domanda fondamentale: dove si possono comprare??? Now I will talk about Neon project. The project is an idea born about two years ago and now patented. The structure consists of a single piece of wood and the heel is lined in suede and sinks into the structure. A canal runs along the entire perimeter of the wooden structure, where, surprisingly, there microneon powered by an internal battery inside the structure. Completing the two bands of leather sandals (dark brown) thick. The final height of the sandal is about 12.5 cm. Considering the background of wood, not the actual height exceeds 11 cm.
The risk of using materials with such a strong aesthetic impact was to intrude tacky or kitsch, but in reality I find, is definitely not a shoe for all, it is absolutely portable. In this type of project, however, shows Alexis, the "saleability" does not arise as an issue.
The project started as an exercise in style, will be produced in a few pieces sold exclusively on-line, each piece will be signed in ink by Alessio himself.
ITA: Adesso vi parlerò del progetto Neon. Il progetto nasce come idea circa due anni fa e subito brevettata. La struttura è composta da un singolo pezzo di legno e il tacco è rivestito in camoscio e affonda nella struttura stessa. Un canale corre lungo tutto il perimetro della struttura in legno dove, a sorpresa, c'è microneon all'interno alimentato da una batteria interna all'interno della struttura. Completano il sandalo due fasce di cuoio (colore testa di moro) spesso. L'altezza finale del sandalo è di circa 12,5 cm. Considerando il fondo di legno, l'altezza reale non supera gli 11 cm.
Il rischio di usare materiali con così forte impatto estetico era quello di sconfinare pacchiano o kitsch, ma in realtà trovo che, sicuramente non è una scarpe per tutte, sia assolutamente portabile. In questo tipo di progetto però, riporta Alessio, la "vendibilità" non si pone nemmeno come questione.
Il progetto partito come esercizio di stile, sarà invece prodotto in pochissimi pezzi, la vendita esclusivamente on-line, ogni pezzo sarà firmato a penna da Alessio stesso.
