After I showed you the pictures of IWC Top Gun Gala Event back in January and the preview of the new upcomming Pilot's Watches from the IWC Booth at Salon International de la Haute Horologerie 2012 In Geneva, today I want to talk to you about the Big Pilot's Watch Top Gun Miramar and Pilot's Watch Chronograph Top Gun Miramar. The new Big Pilot's Watch TOPGUN Miramar pays homage to the birthplace of the Top Gun legend, the pilots’ school of the US Marines in Miramar/California and today the reputation has spread spread throughout the rest of the world. But let see some technical details.
The shimmering metallic grey of the ceramic case, the beige hands and chapter ring as well as the green textile strap were inspired by the military-style design. The watch is guaranteed to keep perfect time for 7 days when fully wound. The sapphire glass has an antireflective coating on both sides and is secured against sudden drops in pressure in the cockpit and On the back of the case there is a Top Gun engraving. On the other hand the the design of the new Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOPGUN Miramar is characterized by the metallic tone of the ceramic case and the matte anthracite of the dial. Typical colours, such as beige, grey and green, underscore the military-style design with a soft-iron inner case protects the precision movement against magnetism. Dopo avervi mostrato le immagini dell'evento IWC Top Gun Gala dello scorso gennaio e l'anteprima dei nuovi orologi Pilot's Watch direttamente dallo Stand del IWC dal Salone Internazionale dell'Alta Orologeria di Ginevra, oggi voglio parlarvi del Big Pilot's Watch Top Gun Miramar and Pilot's Watch Chronograph Top Gun Miramar. Il nuovo Big Pilot's Watch TOPGUN Miramar è un omaggio alla città natale del mito TOPGUN, la scuola aeronautica della Marina americana che ha sede a Miramar, in California da lì la fama di questi orologi d’élite si è diffusa in ogni angolo del pianeta. Ma vediamo alcuni dettagli tecnici. Sono ispirati allo stile militare la cassa in ceramica grigia dalla lucentezza metallica, le lancette e la minuteria in color beige e il cinturino in tessuto verde. Il dispositivo della riserva di carica garantisce che a carica completa l’orologio funzioni regolarmente per 7 giorni. Il vetro zaffiro antiriflesso su entrambi i lati è protetto contro i cali improvvisi di pressione nel cockpit. Il fondello è impreziosito dalla raffinata incisione TOPGUN. Dall'altro lato invece, abbiamo il Il nuovo Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOPGUN Miramar che presenta un design caratterizzato dalla tonalità metallica della cassa in ceramica e dal quadrante color antracite opaco. Colori tipici come il beige, il grigio e il verde rafforzano il design in stile militare ed una cassa interna in ferro dolce protegge il movimento di precisione dai campi magnetici.
